I've heard you can substitute this spice, common in Middle Eastern cooking, for lemon in any recipe because of its tart flavor. It's not acidic like lemon, though. I've eaten it out, at middle eastern restaurants, but never cooked with it at home. If your attuned to your spices, and this one is new to you, you will recognize its unique flavor but maybe not be able to identify it because it is not overpowering. Im interested in learning mire about this. Any experience or recipes to share?? IP: Logged |
