Optimist: The glass is half full. Pessimist: The glass is half empty. Rationalist: The glass is twice as big as it needs to be. Which one are you? IP: Logged |

Rationalist optimist. The glass is half full, and it needs to be that big so it can be completely filled up at a later date IP: Logged |

Um, what if I just see the glass with some water in it, without actually thinking about whether it's half full or half empty?Like, I don't really care. I guess that makes me a fatalist? The glass and the water inside it "just are." How dull, right. Edit: Come to think of it... On better days I'll probably think of drinking the water or pour some water in it to make it full, and then drink it. This is getting nonsensical. Woops. IP: Logged |

I fluctuate. Mostly optimist, seeing the good in everything, thankful for whatever is in the glass, no matter how little it is, and I'm hopeful for the refill coming up. Even when the refills are gone you can always find something else to drink. Seeing the bigger picture, hoping for the best, knowing you will reach the top... Eventually, That's optimism.

I think optimism is more like seeing the class as always being full and feeling secure in the knowledge that it will never change :-) Arrogance will help with that! IP: Logged |

Ahh, it just is. You are only the observer. Not the creator. IP: Logged |

None of those listed. The glass is empty. That makes it very useful at a moment's notice without having to empty it or see what is in it before using it. That makes me a REALIST ready for dealing in a practical manner for whatever comes or goes in my chaotic life. I use it; empty it; then clean and dry it and set it aside until needed again.

Or better yet...Quantum Physicist: The glass is both empty and full, depending on what you expect of it. IP: Logged |

Depends on my mood.. But I like Randalls answer. "Filled half with liquid and half with air."------------------ My Chart! " Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. Glass half full person here, even when maybe it isn't. I'm an optimist and it helps me get through life.I find glass half empty people a little wearing tbh. My good younger male friend (21 year old gorgeous babe with the whole world at his fingertips) said he prefers to be pessimistic about life because then he'll never be disappointed. Weird really because he's lovely otherwise. IP: Logged |
