Hur hur hur indeed it was At first the idea of milk pudding didn't excite me, it seemed pretty plain. But yeah, in the end it turned out pretty good. Don't knock it till you try it, I suppose lol. Rose water goes so well with milk and cream. ----- Dinner: sweet and sour hot pot, with snapper, sea bass, sea foods and lots of leafy greens. Dessert: sweet black bean soup, with rock sugar, grass jelly and the last blooms from my "Arabian Nights" jasmine pot lol. IP: Logged |

_ If I knew you in real life, I'd forget my Libran manners and try to get myself invited for dinner every other night. Or simply show up, at your doorstep. With a puppy-dog face. MeWantsFooooooood. Feed me? Pleash? Pretty pleash? IP: Logged |

Lol I'd be like YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS. Coz having more Libras around is always a good thing. ---- On tonight's menu: Sweet and sour tamarind fish soup with sea bream and fish cakes (with finely chopped shallots and red chilli) that we made last weekend. A friend gave us two big fresh fish, it was best to strip the "meat" and make it into fish cakes. This soup is served with rice vermicelli. Sea bream is really tasty, light and delicate. I don't often make this soup because it needs quite a lot of ingredients. But the Giant elephant ear plant I grow already gets quite big (we eat the spongy stalks/stems - after peeling off the outer skins), and we have some left-over fish stock, bean sprouts and half a pineapple. Perfect for this recipe. Dessert: Sweet soup with lotus seed, snow fungus and longan. IP: Logged |

When I visited the South, I got my first taste of Southern food and dang, it was so so so dang good. The barbecue - rich and flavorful, melt-in-your-mouth. I was like "What is this magic?????" I was so tempted to migrate to the US lol. IP: Logged |
