It far more common to hear an owl than to see an owl so color is not always in play. As a young lad I was blessed to see them in the woods when out with my father foraging for wild morels or hunting squirrels. He was a scoutmaster so knowing species of all sorts and their behaviors was normal for him. When we had this last eclipse in September there was an owl, larger than most I have seen in a tree behind my house. He flew to the front after a bit and was spotted by the neighbors out watching the eclipse. Well the kids(young girls across the street) in their fascination totally discarded the eclipse and went off chasing the Owl as he went from tree to tree. It seems the owl enjoyed taunting them. Just NOW, I hear one. I think they love the trees where I live. Many are above 80 feet and there is a waterway to hunt upon. I see many hawks here as well. Owls as an omen of wisdom, perhaps, wonderful creatures for sure.

LOL Get this, Randall? It was 12 noon and I was looking out the window and saw s family of 5 racoons, casually walking through my yard to one of my fruit trees. One sat down under the tree and was pulling off fruit. The other went a little bit aways to do his business, EXPLAINING to me what all that animal business was ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? @Ami Anne, I catch and release Raccoons several times a year to save the fruit for me,, do you want mine. Back in September I had 2 in the trap at the same time. @RANDALL Best part of a Garden,, food that taste much better. Start with some chives and peppers, You can't loose.------------------ LeekingChee IP: Logged |
