Saturn is one of four gaseous planets. It is most noteworthy for its rings. No one knows when it was first discovered, as it has been known about throughout the ages. Galileo did spot it closely through telescope around 1610, though. Saturn moves through all Signs in around 29.5 years, spending about 2.5 years in each.Saturn was considered a malefic Planet by the Ancients (along with mars, Uranus, and Pluto). This was because Saturn is associated with difficulties. I do not consider Saturn to be malefic at all. Saturn is, indeed, the antithesis of Jupiter (Jupiter is about expansion), because Saturn is about restriction. This does not make it a bad Planet. Saturn is a teacher, a taskmaster, and it is the Planet of Karma and justice. With Saturn, you reap what you sow. One can look at Saturn in the chart to see where difficulties lie. But are difficulties a bad thing? I do not think so. They create character and strength. To develop character, one must go through tests. A person can submit to difficulties and give up and become a failure, or a person can overcome those difficulties and become a greater success due to Saturn. I have much more to say, and I will continue later. Others can chime in also. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." i dont think those planets are bad..especially not plutowell, pluto might be bad for other people since it uncovers the truth so easily and exactly, but not for the user, lol ------------------ I once saw a sign that said "sin is death" but if "all deaths are suicide (linda goodman)" and suicide is sin, then shouldnt "death is sin" be more appropriate? when organic is used to describe food then you know we have come to a dark age in history IP: Logged |

When looking at Saturn in a chart, the House it's in is where the person will find obstacles and difficulties. It is where growth is needed. Houses will be explored in another lesson, as well as Saturn in the Signs and Saturn Aspects. But to keep it simple right now, just remember that Saturn restricts and provides resistance. Resistance can make for strong success in the areas Saturn influences, but it will not be without effort. Saturn rules Capricorn, so its efffects are less severe to Cappies, perhaps due to it functioning more directly and more powerfully with Capricorn...and also with Libra and Virgo. Conversely, Saturn provides more difficulty with Aries, Cancer, and Pisces. With the other six Signs, it is more of a medium running between difficult and less difficult. IP: Logged |

Saturn represents discipline, stability, wisdom, patience, endurance, and humility. But it can also represent rigidity, pessimism, narrow-mindedness, and selfishness. Each Planet rules part(s) of the body. Saturn rules over the knees, teeth, bones, skin, and gall bladder.IP: Logged |

This is my question, Randall. Could you explain how Saturn conj the Sun effects the person? Also Saturn conj the moon? Is this question too advanced, at this moment. Did you want to stick to more basic concepts, or is anything about Saturn, game?------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I have Retro Saturn conj the ASC in Scorpio. I have just embraced this, rather than run from it and feel sorry for myself I will thrive if I keep learning lessons by pushing myself out in to life. I think you have to be willing to fail to learn life lessons. You don't look good while you do it,but you learn. This seems like Saturn to me. It rewards your hard, hard effort with wonderful things like a feeling of accomplishment, peace and a solid sense of self.------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I can talk about that now. This seems to be a good place for it. A return is when said Planet makes its way back to the position it was at near one's birth. There are three main returns that Astrologers deem significant: Saturn, Jupiter, and Venus. Jupiter is thought to bring luck and good fortune on its return. We don't hear much about Venus, but it's an important one. Venus brings luck, as well, and also the chance to make money. Venus returns are a great time for getting published, for those who are writers. People tend to dread the Saturn return, but that is wasted effort. There is nothing to dread. Much growth can be afforded during a Saturn return, and if it is ermbraced and not resisted, it can pay off in life dividends for years to come. Areas that have needed attention in the past can be overcome and issues resolved. A Saturn return is a reaping period. If you were careful to sow good seed, you might even experience some really great payoffs. But either way, you will be transformed into a new level of maturity. Pluto is considered the Planet of transformation, but a Saturn return can be very transformative in and of itself. Being a Cappy, that makes yours even that much more monumental. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." How can Saturn be considered a malefic planet with Uranus and Pluto by the Ancients, since Uranus/Pluto were not discovered/used by the ancients??? Anyway Saturn is a cosmic 2x4 that smacks me on the head. It hurts. I can see why it was considered a malefic because all those experiences that make one grow are usually pretty terrible. ------------------ 12.5% of the planets have 71% of the mass. #OccupyJupiter. No, I meant along with Mars, Uranus, and Pluto (to include a total of four Planets considered to be malefic), with the others considered benefic. Sorry for the miscommunication on my part. I should have worded it better. Of course, the outer Planets were discovered in more recent times. But there are four malefic Planets, and I don't consider either of them to truly be so. I rather like Uranus and Pluto, having them both in my First House. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Randall wrote.." A Saturn return is a reaping period. If you were careful to sow good seed, you might even experience some really great payoffs. But either way, you will be transformed into a new level of maturity"This is a great way for me to look at it. Being a Cappie I tend get that feeling at times that my life has been so hard with alot lessons to learn. Always having to find some acceptance with the way things are can get a little tiring at times. Always bring forth the questions of why or self pity. (ugh)depressing I'm also interested in hearing more about Saturn in other signs and houses. Because having Gemini in Saturn in the eighth and currently Saturn in Libra transiting through my First house is a little much to bare at moments. IP: Logged |
