I feel so much compassion for people that suffer that way. But the spiritual bond you have with her is truly amazing. So incredible. Almost brought a tear to my eye just reading your post! Gave me much hope, and I appreciate you going out of your way to respond to my question. Deep down I knew I did really connect with her. I actually get wiffs of her perfume every now and again, I've heard her laugh in the distance. Any time I broke down and sobbed after she passed I'd feel a warm presence wrap itself around me and literally took away my pain and dried my tears. Anyway, don't want to steer too far off topic. Thanks again, anon. You are such a sweetheart.
Soothie, again your response propelled me to write back. The "wrapping around" feeling you mentioned is EXACTLY the feeling I had when my grandma died (on my way to her city for her funeral)!! Also, the feeling of her hand over my hair, comforting me... I'm overjoyed to be able to share these experiences with people who know what I'm talking about. Thank you, Ami, for this string!

Not weird at all! I have been having issues of this nature with my Tarot string on the same (Brown Owl School) forum. Please tell Randall so he can look at it. IP: Logged |

I have an idea for what we can do. We can all try to practice the OBE techniques and write about how we did, success or failure. Eventually, you will succeed if you want it enough. anon,Basically what I had said was that I feel the same way as you. It's not very often you find someone who believes in the supernatural, let alone is comfortable enough to discuss it. This is why this loss is so hard for me. She was (my boyfriend's grandmother actually) not only my best friend and practically a "teacher" to me, but we had such a fantastic spiritual bond that I have never shared with anyone before (other than my bf). She was the one person who I could talk to about this stuff. My family (mainly my mom) believe in it but not very learned in the subject nor have the enough of an interest to really get into a deep conversation on it. I spent hours talking to her about spirits, afterlife, karma, astrology...all of it. This is why I love this forum so much, if you have noone you can talk about it with, you can always come on here and let it all out. Also, it is truly beautiful what you experienced with your grandmother. It is so comforting to know that they are never really gone. IP: Logged |

Okay, Ami. I have talked myself out of it before. It's like I get scared, as pathetic as that sounds. I just really need to find that inner calm and not worry so much. So far, the last couple days I have asked "Am I dreaming?" throughout the day. My next days off are Christmas eve and Christmas day. So the night of the 23rd or the 24th I will try, again. I just don't want to "come back" to my body to find out that I am late for work. You must take care of things that are happening in the physical world before you delve into the spiritual. I learned that the hard way... anyway, I will share with you my progress. Thanks again, Ami. I really am enjoying this thread. I can learn a lot from you

This has happened to me twice: I feel myself vibrating and starting to feel like I might be leaving my body and then I hear a zap in one of my ears and I snap out of it. I did some digging on google and aside from the medical mumbo jumbo, some people associated this sensation with OBEs. I think it snaps me out of it because I'm not expecting it and it scares the bejesus out of me! IP: Logged |

Yes, you are on your way out. You need to overcome the natural fear by venturing little, by little, further in to the state!

Is it alright if I share another one of my lucid dreams, Ami? I don't think it was an OBE but it was the strangest thing. I would like your, or anyone's, opinion on itIP: Logged |

Update----- I am having more vivid dreams. This is the first step to lucid dreams which is the step prior to full OBE's. Are you having more vivid dreams as a result of talking about this?------------------ Passion, Lust Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Spent much of my day in OBE. It is how I get through screaming level physical agony that even Vicodin does not touch.

Aww thanks, anon. This one happened quite a while ago. Maybe a year ago, actually. It was so strange. In this "dream" I was laying in the exact same spot and facing the same way as I actually was. There was a girl laying beside who in this life, I have ever met. This girl had down syndrome, and was probably in here late teens early 20's. She was crying, telling me how her step mother beat her. She was shaking, and sobbing. I held her hand and told her everything will get better and that she needs to get away from there, that it's not right for her to be doing that to her. Suddenly her expression changed, she got upset and said "my mommy doesn't beat me!" I felt so upset and confused. Then I opened my eyes and was literally wondering where she had gone. Took about 10 minutes before I had realized I was dreaming....or was I? Lol IP: Logged |

I am at least happy to know that you have found something to manage the pain, at least for a while. IP: Logged |

I haven't actually had many in a couple weeks. But I haven't been feeling very great so I am exhausted by time I fall asleep. I am hoping I can talk myself into one. Will take your advice (since no work for a few days ) and wake up part way through my sleep. Maybe have a shower and drink my tea. Then try to have an OBE. I hope I can. I really want to. I'm not so nervous about it now, I don't think. IP: Logged |

Yes, they help, but I cannot live a normal life this way. My husband was wonderfully compassionate today. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum25/HTML/002974.html

Yes they are. Without them I would not be able to cope at worse body times. It is amazing the amount of agony a body can have. I am very thankful for the OBEs, but one should not have to "go out" in order to not go mad from the ott agony no meds touch. Must go now. Weak, trembly, exhausted.

Tried to get up to do the exercises. had a vivid dream but that was all.Sooth, I have read that the OBE can cure diseases. It is like a super energy treatment. One man cured MS. I don't want to argue about this, please. I am just reporting something. It does make you feel super energy charged, ime.------------------ Passion,Lust, Desire Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Wow really? (I don't plan on arguing lol) but that is truly amazing...and rather interesting. I can't wait to do one. I wont be trying to night because my parents are having their Christmas party tonight and depending on how I feel, I might be having some drinks lol. If I am not feeling my finest I won't be though. I want to work on having an OBE sometime over the weekend, though. IP: Logged |
