The Third Step To Understanding House Rulers By amiann | Published: February 17, 2012 | Memorize the sphere of influence of each House. Know each house as well as you can. After this, House Rulers will be, relatively, easy. Without a fluid understanding of what each house rules, you will struggle. Like anything else in Astrology, doing is learning. Try to do charts and ask people, if you are right. As you know, there are many levels to a chart. House Rulers is a study of House to House interaction, so if something does not seem right, there will be other factors to explain it, beyond House Rulers. However, with the correct time, House Rulers are, rarely, wrong, in my experience. To pull back and explain House Rulers, so we do not lose the forest for the trees. The purpose of House Rulers is to show the SPHERES of life which are important to a person and how they interact to make up that person’s world ,world view and literal life experience. We do not deal with the IDENTITY of planets, here. Planets are, simply, identified as “Ruler of the First House”, “Ruler of the Second House” etc. So, if one person’s “Ruler of the First House” is the Moon and another persons “Ruler of the First House” is Pluto, it makes no difference. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. House Rulers is for the more serious student. I tried to teach it to several people who asked and I could feel their eyes glazing over. I gave up and did an article on "Why Does He Make You Weak in the Knees" It is NOT too much, if one applies oneself. It will take you to the next level. It is easy once you see it. However, it does take effort. It is like serious dieting lolHowever, I am here to help you. I had to learn if from a book and it took a month. Anyway, I have over 23 articles which should make it as easy as possible. Dive in. The water is good!

Odd question: What if your chart ruler is placed in the house usually associated with your Sun Sign? Ex: Pisces Sun/Scorp Asc with Pluto in the 12th. ...Pulling that out of thin air... OK, ok - I have that in my chart. Would that flavor the placement at all? IP: Logged |

Ok so I'm trying to follow how to figure up chart rulers by this thread. U say aries is ruled by mars. I have an aries ascendent which I was assuming that puts mars in my 1st house...I just went to astrodienst and did one of their free reports, typed in my birth info (which was all accurate) and it says 'aries ascendant, mars in 5th house'. Not comprehending now. By their info I have cancer in the 4th and 5th house. Cancer is ruled by the moon.....so confused here lol what am I doing wrong here?IP: Logged |

Dear Shy Virgo I am using Modern rulers. Old fashioned Astrology, which many people still use has different chart rulers and more co-rulers. This seemed easier. The main thing is to get the concepts. You can fine tune the rulers to older rulers, later, if you want, imo.------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

The Fourth Step to Understanding House Rulers By amiann | Published: February 18, 2012 | I am doing House Rulers on my FB page. I just did Nathy’s and Alyssa’s. You can see how they are done. If you are on FB and click “Like” on my FB page, I can send all my articles and what goes on, on my FB page, to yours. I want to go on to the next step with House Rulers. If you have read my first three articles, in this series, you should be able to do the first step, which is the easiest. You should be able to identify the ASC and the ruler of the ASC, which is called the Chart Ruler. For a quick review. The ASC is the cusp on the First House. If you have a Scorpio ASC, your Chart Ruler would be Pluto.Pluto is the planet that rules the sign of Scorpio. Then, you can see the House in which Pluto resides. That House will, always, be one of the most important spheres of life, for you. We will go on. House Rulers is a system which shows which spheres of life are important to each person. More so, certain spheres of life “serve” other spheres of life. This is the ESSENCE of chart rulers. I will try to explain what I mean, in general. Then, I will go on, with examples. We will take a Players Chart for an example of how Houses serve other Houses. With a player, he will have a full 5th house, the house of quick romances and fun. He will have, at least, three planets in the Fifth House, usually. So, Rulers of OTHER Houses are situated in the Fifth. We can say that these other Houses are serving the Fifth. For example, Players will often have the Ruler of the Tenth, Ruler of the 8th, Ruler of the 7th and Ruler of the 5th in the 5th house. This translates to four Houses serving his need for romance, play and fun, which is what the 5th House rules. So, if we look at Ruler of the 10th in the 5th, we can interpret it like this. The man takes his drive for a career and a place in the general society and subsumes it to his drive for fun( the 5th House). If Ruler of the 8th is in the 5th, the man takes his need for soul mate emotional bonding and soul mate sex and subsumes it into his drive for fun and romance( the 5th). If Ruler of the 7th is in the 5th, the man takes his natural desire for one loyal committed partner, which is the 7th house, and subsumes that drive to his drive for fun and romance. I hope you can see how House Rulers work, from this example. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

The Fifth Step to Understanding House Rulers By amiann | Published: February 18, 2012 | I am having a lot of good energy doing House Rulers on Facebook. This energy helps me go forward with House Rulers, as it is kind of a difficult subject, but well worth the effort. James shamed me in to it and I am glad he did. I want to piggy back on the House Rulers of Players. The Player will have a full 5th House( the House of Play). What if a person has a full 7th House( the House of Marriage)? That would mean that other Houses are SERVING the 7th House. We need to see which Houses serve the 7th to see the thrust of the natives life. I will give some examples. Ruler of the 8th in the 7th would make the native bring soul mate emotions and soul mate sexuality TO the marriage. This would be indicative of a person who would want a loyal committed partner, and not a fling.Ruler of the 10th in the 7th would be a person who would put his career second to his partner. Ruler of the 6th in the 7th would be a person who would be willing to give selfless devotion to his partner.

The Sixth Step to Understanding House Rulers By amiann | Published: February 18, 2012 | EditI think I have given an idea of why one should bother with House Rulers;why they are important and what they offer us. Now, I will go on to more specifics of doing. The point of House Rulers is to see which spheres of life are important to a person and how these spheres of life RELATE to each other. That is the forest. Now, I will try to do the trees. We know how to take the Chart Ruler and see the House in which it resides. Now, lets look at the 1st house and what it means when OTHER House Rulers are there. I will do these by talking about each house ruler which ends up in the 1st House and tell you what it means. With the 1st House, one wants to WEAR the other houses on oneself, we could say. One wants to USE the other Houses to make one look more enhanced: more elevated in status in the world. The House Rulers which are in the 1st house are used to enhance the ego of the native: they are used to enhance one’s status, in some way. They are like arm candy or prestige candy I will explain more, as we go on. Ruler of the 1st in 1st– the person has a hard time detaching from his point of view and seeing others points of view. Ruler of the 2nd in 1st–one cares to LOOK as if one is well off. One cares for one’s car, clothes, jewelry etc to look as they are from a person of substance. Ruler of the 3rd in the 1st–one wants to LOOK special and unique with one’s manner of expression i.e how one speaks or writes Ruler of 4th in 1st –one wants ones house to LOOK good, so one can look good, as well Ruler of 5th in 1st–This one can be a player aspect, as one wants one’s romantic Ruler of 5th in 1st–This one can be a player aspect, as one wants one’s romantic partner to LOOK good on his arm. This could be someone who likes to be the center of attention, as one wears ones role, as a fun person, as part of one’s identity Ruler of 6th in 1st–one could brag about one’s service or charity work. One may not care about the work as much as how it makes one LOOK, to others. Ruler of 7 in 1st–one wants one wife to LOOK good to enhance his image. Ruler of 8th in 1st–one cannot hide one’s deepest emotions or passions. One wears them on his sleeve. Ruler of 9th in 1st–one may brag about one’s trips or education. One wants to LOOK intellectual or well educated. Ruler of 10 in 1st — one may brag about one’s career or place in society. One wants to LOOK successful Ruler of 11 in 1st–one may belong to a group in order to brag about it or be identified with it so one LOOKS as if one cares about group, rather than really caring. Ruler of 12 in 1st–one may not be able to hide how deeply a mystical and spiritual person one is. With the 8th and the 12th, the person does not like that these parts of himself show, but he can’t help. The 1st house takes what is hidden and takes it out of hiding, whether the person likes it or not. ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Ooo ooo me! Lol if ur willing to teach I'm willing to listen. I have a few questions if that's ok. All I've done so far is cast natal charts and dabbled in synastry and a little bit of composite charts. So here goes. So does each house have its own ruler? Like my chart ruler is mars bc of my aries ascendant but each house would have its own ruler too correct? And if so that would mean my 4th and 5th house is ruled by the moon as cancer falls in those houses? As an example. Then I can figure up my other houses. If I'm wrong please correct me and tell me y I have no issues with that lol thank uIP: Logged |

OK Yes I am willing and happy to teach OK, first of all, you should have your chart in the equal house system so each of the 12 Houses have a Ruler. Then--Use the chart I have in the first post for ease of uniformity. They are the Modern Rulers. You should have one ruler for EACH of the 12 Houses. Of course Mercury is the Ruler of 2 signs, as is Venus. Does that answer your question, Sweetheart? ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Y yes it does ty as long as astrodienst is correct in casting my chart. Cuz I've actually taken notes on some of it. Like it tells me which planet is in each house and I've looked up meanings and it def applies to me. I think id better stick to modern rulers for now as u suggested. So I can now figure up each house ruler yay progress! Thank u thank u lol now next step. I have taurus in my 2nd house so that means venus rules that house correct? and so on and so on...which means venus would rule all things represented by 2nd house stuff or something like that?. Am I doing this right? Cuz now I'm confusing myself but I'm really determined to learn this.IP: Logged |

When the student is ready the teacher will appear ok I will post my houses and rulers bc I have more questions lol this is what astrodienst has listed for each house and then I will list the ruler by what u posted up above 1st - aries (chart ruler = mars) 2nd - taurus (ruler = venus) 3rd - gemini (ruler = mercury) 4th - cancer (ruler = moon) 5th - cancer (ruler = moon) 6th - leo (ruler = sun) 7th - libra (ruler = venus) 8th - scorpio (ruler = pluto) 9th - saggi (ruler = jupiter) 10th - capricorn (ruler = saturn) 11th - capricorn (ruler = saturn) 12th - aquarius (ruler = uranus)Whew lol this free chart says I have sun venus and saturn in the 6th house. Ok funny I have all those in virgo. So does that mean virgo also falls in my 6th house it just didn't list it? Which would mean my 6th house would have another ruler...funny I don't c pisces either. Anyways there ya go. IP: Logged |
