Amianne can u explain the differences between 'at home, exalted, detriment, and in its fall'? I'm assuming it has something to do with the planets and their natural tendancies but that's all I can come up with. Also since we're dicussing the moon here, do the moon cycles really truly have an effect on ppl's emotions? Just curious. Gemini moon here remember? Lol

Venus in its Fall–Scorpio
By amiann | Published: February 16, 2012 |

I did an article on Venus in Scorpio, in a man’s chart. The Fall position of a planet is a planet which does not like it’s home/placement. The home may be too big, too small, too hot or too cold. The planet kind of sticks out, like a sore thumb. As such, the Fall position will, always, bristle. Venus is the planet of love and beauty. Scorpio is the most sensual and passionate sign of the Zodiac. Quite simply, Scorpio is too sultry a sign for Venus. I discussed the male Scorpio Venus, so I will concentrate on the woman with Venus in Scorpio. I am not sure who suffers more from the Fall position of Venus, men or woman. My first thought would be woman, but I don’t think you can discriminate.

Across the board, all female Scorpio Venus seem to carry some sort of burden. Do they all admit it? Hardly. Scorpio is a very proud sign. Hence, we can hardly expect them to admit about feeling “oversexed”. However, in private moments, with those whom they trust, I think they will. At any rate, we all have planets in the Detriments and Falls. The planet is different for each person. Hence, each person must deal with one or more energies which do not work well.

The female with Venus in Scorpio may come across as a siren. This Venus may lead with her sexuality. In the same way, other Venus’ lead with what is predominant to them. I will give some examples. Venus in Gemini would lead with her intellect. Sag Venus would lead with her vivacity. Aquarius Venus would lead with her love for humanity. Leo Venus would lead with her glamor. Venus in Scorpio seems as if it tries too hard to be sexy. As such, she may scare men off. Then, wonder what happened. This Venus seems reluctant to take advice from a Venus who may be able to see what is happening, such as a Gemini Venus, with her cool head. The pride of the Scorpio Venus makes her not able to take advice, well. This may be her downfall.Open up, Sisters. Learn that you do not need to excel in all things, in order to be worth something.

Venus in it’s Exaltation— Venus in Taurus
By amiann | Published: February 16, 2012 |
Venus is exalted in Taurus. The exaltation is second to the Domicle(Home), as to where the planet likes to be. The planet feels warm and happy, in it’s Exaltation. It functions, as it was made to: poetry in motion. I have noticed that people who have Venus in Libra do not like coarse jokes. Venus in Taurus is not quite as sensitive, but he is still, a very refined soul. Venus is the planet of both love and beauty.Someone with Venus in the Domicile or Exaltation is a naturally, refined person. When one knows Astrology well, one can see and feel the refinement in these natives. They have a certain sense of grace which is evident. They have good manners and are sensitive to the feelings of others.

These --the Fall etc are places where the planet feel good or feels bridled like atoo tight shoe or a too loose shoe

It makes it hard to DO the planet. So for a cancer Mars, it is hard to DO action as Mars is action. You see?

I think so. Basically ur saying that with mars in the sign of cancer, it doesn't allow mars to do what mars wants to do? And I'm assuming that ruling would apply to other planets as well. Like certains signs will restrict certain planets from doin their thang? Lol

Gladly.
Sun- libra (but on a cusp sept 24)
Moon - canceer
Mercury - virgo
Venus - scorpio
Mars - scorpio
Jupiter - aquarius
Saturn - aries
Uranus - aquarius
Neptune - capricorn
Pluto - sag
Rising - taurus

I'm assuming this would b the same as house rulers where each placement is just a puzzle piece and u blend them all?

That is why I love to talk about the moon.If you want synastry that turns you on your head---try Moon/Pluto. I wrote something about it I will share just for the interest of the discussion on moons.

Interesting! I can c moon contacts in synastry being important as they deal with emotions. But y to pluto? And what aspects? What about moon/pluto trine at 1.11 dgree orb? I've read conjuctions r the strongest vibe. If its not conjunct then does it still have a major impact?

Sorry--I read it wrong lol
Pluto touching the moon in synastry is out of this world. In easy aspect, it is wonderful. In hard aspect, it could be intense fights with intensity being the key. Think Liz Taylor and Richard Burton lol

Conjunctions are the most intense. With other apsects, you want tight orbs for intensity.

For Alyssa—– Sun in Libra
By amiann | Published: January 30, 2012 |

Alyssa, I cannot do your whole chart on here, but I did promise to do something. I will discuss your Sun, as it is the most important part of any chart. The Sun is one’s basic identity. When one thinks of oneself, it is the Sun that identifies each man, to himself, and to others. That is why it is quite easy to pick out Sun Signs, when you know Astrology. The Sun in Libra is in it’s Fall. The Fall is a hard position, as the planet bristles in the sign. It is like a suit that is too small or a pair of shoes that pinch. The Sun, by nature is bold, takes action, is confident, and moves forward. Libra thinks and re-thinks. That is the nature of Libra. Venus, on the other hand, is exalted in Libra. For Venus, the deliberation of Libra makes for a gracious, considerate person, as Venus is a receptive planet. Picture a beautiful woman standing on the sidelines on the dance floor. She may be in an elegant gown, waiting to be asked to waltz. Part of her beauty is in her demure nature. That would be a picture of Venus in Libra. The Sun does not do well waiting on the sidelines for a partner to pick him.The Sun does well when he races over to the partner of his choice and pulls her on to the dance floor. That is a simple description of the nature of a planet in it’s Fall.Back to the Sun in Libra. The Libra Sun is not a confident Sun position. It may be gracious, and it is, but if suffers from bouts of severe indecision. It tries too hard to be pleasing and may end up stuffing it’s emotions. As such, it’s sunny exterior may belie struggle and pain , which it may be too afraid to show. Libra is the sign of the scales. It does not like anything too loud or raucous, anything too intense. However, life does not allow for that sort of existence. Therein, lies the nature of Libra’s struggle.

Mars in Scorpio is just a wonderful placement for Mars all around. It is Mars Home--Domicile. See what I mean in terms of Domicile, Fall etc?

I think so. Mars is comfortable in scorpio bc it doesn't restrict it like cancer would? Like the shoes aren't too tight lol scorpio traits can b expressed in mars, whereas u said cancer cannot freely express itself there.

The Fall is for a Specific placement. EACH planet is in the Fall in ONE sign only.

The Sun is in the Fall in Libra.
Venus is in Fall in Scorpio.
Mars is in the Fall in Cancer.
