Basic Basic Astrology—What is Neptune?

Neptune is about everything that takes one out of present earth bound reality. Think of a man whose feet are firmly placed on the ground. Give him a transcendent spiritual experience. Let him have a Near Death Experience. Let him fall on his knees and find God. Let him try a new drug. Let him have too many drinks. Let him lose himself in music. Let him lose himself in art. Let him cry at seeing a great movie or listening to Leonard Cohen. Let him daydream about a beautiful woman walking down a beach in Hawaii.In all of the above cases, he has left the earth bound world. When you do, you are experiencing Neptune. I almost forget the most important one:falling in love. When you meet the man/woman of your dreams and you fall into that dreamy state when all is right with the world.That is Neptune. It is an altered state, is it not? ------------------

I don't think I like neptune it clouds ppl's judgements lol id rather live the true reality than the illusion of it. But that's just me. I think I need to start making friends with neptune instead of making it my enemy  IP: Logged |

Sitting here pondering....so I love listening to music and its actually pretty helpful to me when I'm stressed bc it calms me down and puts me at ease. I've always been like that, its like I go off into this whole other world for a little while where reality doesn't exist and its just me and music. Is that neptune at work? Or just one of my many quirks? I read somewhere on here about neptune aspects to the moon so don't know if that's what that is. My moon and neptune r opposed btw.IP: Logged |

Ah thank u saggi. That was an interesting thread. I don't pay so much attention to what sign the outer planets r in bc they stay so long in a sign and everyone my age has it too. But I certainly took notice when it says which house they fall into...IP: Logged |

The outer planets are more house dependent for the individual imo------------------

Yeah I can c that. So if I'm interpreting which house it falls into, how would I go about doing that? Bc my mind is still stuck on the principles of house rulers lol pisces is in my 12th house which I know makes neptune its ruler but then I have nept in sag which is my 9th house. So fill in the blanks please. Neptune is in my ____ house. ?? Sorry if ima pain IP: Logged |

You are NOT a Pain. I will put up my current article which is on the Houses for Unaspected Planets but describes the Houses very well, I think. Study each house and what it means!------------------

OK Vi so you have Ruler of the 12th in the 9th. YOu will take your deep spiritual and mystical leanings to your intellect and want to find reasons and the philosophy to give words to them. Am I right? If so, you have an example of how House Rulers work! ------------------

Yep. Whenever my "leanings" take a strong hold I read read read. Last night I was googling healing crystals. Completely in the zone too lol and then I always rant to my bff about it cuz she always listens to my rants no matter how silly they may b haha IP: Logged |

Kewl! House Rulers can be pretty right on! Do you see how they work a little more, anyway. It takes a lot of time to really get them. I am not a master by any means lol
