Appreciate if you could comment about being a Water Rabbit, plus compare to the many similarities to being a Capricorn Goat. Thanks

The Sheep!

The Sheep is a gentle and kind person. They are very sociable and love to be around people at all times. Sheep can be somewhat of a follower though as they tend to be influenced by those around them. Partly because of their fear of being alone, and also it is sometimes hard for them to stand on their own two feet as they usually need the support of others. Sheep are very sensitive souls, they will be there to hug you when you are down and listen to you talk about your problems. Sheep know sorrow all too well . Sheep are very artistic and usually like to have multiple hobbies that they can express this in. Sheep enjoy the finer things in life and love to learn about cultures, especially their own . Sheep do not like conflict, they like to live a happy, peaceful, and quiet life. They are often considered to be one of the best peacemakers, and they would love nothing more than if we could all just get along.

The Monkey!

The Monkey is very intelligent and is considered the best problem solver of the zodiac. They are excellent at fixing things both mentally and physically. Monkeys are usually quite good with their hands, they are sort of "mechanically inclined". Monkeys behave in a sort of "Curious George" manner, they like to solve puzzles and test their skills. Beware though, if you have a bored Monkey on your hands you are going to have a big problem lol . When Monkeys "go bad", usually because of boredom, they become very "Trickster" or "Poltergeist" like. They use all that brain power to mess with you and entertain themselves. Most of it is without malice though . Monkeys LOVE practical jokes, and Monkeys love to make people laugh. They are always looking for the next opportunity to perform. Overall, the Monkey just always needs to have fun. They are very much the "Peter Pan" of the zodiac.

The Water Rabbit!

The Rabbit is a very diplomatic person, add on the element of water, and you have an extra amount of communication ability and receptiveness. The Rabbit can be somewhat shy, and if you throw in water it makes them even more of a "go with the flow" personality. This combo creates for a very "soft" person, and they probably enjoy lots of cuddly comfortable things around the house . Rabbits are very hospitable and don't like to "stir the pot". They may appear somewhat "snobby" but that is because they are always trying to maintain their social graces . The Rabbit is called the "Artful Dodger", they use their cunning to avoid dangers and also responsibilities they don't necessarily want to take on. Add on the water sensitivity, and there may be a lot of things that the Rabbit does not want to face or deal with, so they may retreat to their "Rabbit Hole" . Once they return though, they have usually calmed themselves down and have come up with a good diplomatic solution. Overall, it is a very natural element for the Rabbit to be in. People may try to walk all over them but in the end their receptive nature will always be a great contribution.

I did not understand what you meant by "capricorn goat", as in JUST the sign of capricorn? or a capricorn that is also year of the sheep?

Chinese and Western do go together well in my opinion. They don't necessarily "mix" per say, some people try to equate the signs across to the other but I think they are too different to compare. It's like numbers and letters .

If you consider your "year sign" to be your chinese zodiac sign, and your "month sign" to be your sun sign, they fit just fine together.

"do you know how the elements combine with the animal sign?"

^^^Yes I do Would you like me to add in libra as well? or just do Wood Pig?...Didn't I do Pig for you already?? Guess I did not add in wood though

There is lots of stuff out there on it . Information on elements in combination with the animals is lacking though.

fire horse! (why oh why is that so strangely satisfying?)

and under no circumstances should horses marry rats, and this is even more particular for fire horses, a conflagration can occur!

so looking back through the thread I saw sand is a rat.

so sand if you're out there, just resist ok,...otherwise we would make a conflagration happen

'Under no circumstances must the Horse marry a Rat, in particular if the Horse is female and born under the rare sign of the Fire Horse (1906, 1966, etc.). Any liaison between these two passionate natures can only result in sparks which must lead to conflagration.'

Do you know how the different animals were assigned to different years and why?

And how might this be affected with your astrological signs?

I liked what you read of my own animal sign, though. =) The normal chinese zodiac I see at the chinese food places don't even come close to getting me the way you've described. Thanks for your effort =)

No one knows how it works or why. Legend says that Buddha created Chinese Astrology.

Buddha asked for all of the animals to show up to wish him goodbye, but only 12 did.
