Yes, I am idealistic. I want to change things for the better which is also a Jupiter trait. This usually manifests in the workplace (in education) where I pursue change even when opposed (Pluto and Jupiter working together). In fact, I get bored once change happens and move to another job and new challenges. I could be addicted to wanting to change things! Neptune, though, is idealistic in a more passive way than Jupiter and perhaps tones down some of the drive.

Thank you, AK! This is a wonderful post, as always!

Hi Ami Anne. I love your writing. I just wanted to know if you think Pluto in the first house is weaker than Pluto conjunct sun. IMO pluto first house people might look the part but underneath they are not as strong or powerful as they look. Sun conjunct pluto people on the other hand are strong to the core. What do you think of this in your experience from reading charts? THanks!

Thank you, Friend. I needed that lift today. Thank you so much for it

Yes, I think Pluto conj the Sun is stronger. It is more of an iron will placement.

Pluto in the 1st is a strong person in his outer life but his inner life may be different.

Ami Anne, your article really resonates with me. I have Pluto conjunct Venus and a 7th house stellium. Have you any advice for me to balance these energies out?

Thank you, Tulipe dear. I was just wanting to write an article on the 7th house stellium because a song I love reminds me of it. Comatose by Skillet. I will put it up for you. I love music and posting it

As to what to do. I think the answer to everything is to know that God loves you even though you have all the flaws that you know so well. By you, I mean everyone, of course.

This is the only thing that has given me peace and it is stating to.

Oh, Ami, I know you'll have something to give me hope. I used to feel like that song, but the Saturn transit to me is like a wake up call. As for music, I love it! As in listening to it everyday and singing so loud (poor my neighbors), and I always have a song for every emotion that I felt. I don't know this Skillet band but something about the voice and melody feel familiar.
I'm not a christian but what I believe in is similar to what you wrote. Forgive yourself for your shortcomings, stay true to yourself, never regret doing what you believe is right. That, to me, is unconditional love.

Yes, Skillet sings from the heart and the soul.
Love heals. Allowing ourselves to love ourselves is the hard part because we see our flaws and our shortcomings. As I heal, I see how much shame I had just for being me and it astounds me, really.
If you had abuse, you took it in as YOU were the bad one. Children do that as a defense mechanism and it stays with the person until they can somehow let love in imo

Did you put up your chart, Tulipe? Put it up, if you want. Then, tell me a bit about your life!

Ami dear, knowing you is like a healing process. You're a healer at heart. I'm still discovering myself and it's beautiful in its horror I haven't post my chart yet. I'm a private person but with you sharing feels so natural (Chiron again). I'm searching for way to post my chart, meet with you soon

I know this topic is old but reading it is like picking at a bunch of old wounds.

My pluto is in the 12th house conj. my ascendant which is in scorpio. (I hope I am saying all of this right. I am still learning.)

I have mars and saturn in my first house but they are both square my sun.

I have a hard time being assertive and often people get the best of me. I get punked, feel like a coward and then beat myself up.

On the contrary, I have a hard time standing up for yourself but I am willing to put myself in harm's way for those that I love. I am trying to figure out how to use that energy for myself.

I have pluto conj MC which I guess makes me a sort of "cop" but in the same time, pluto opposes my sun. As in ppl trying to take my power..it's weird. I am bith vulnerable and strong. I don't know how to put it better

I know a pair of twins with Pluto on the MC. One is, always has been, the Man...at work and among friends and family. The other "rules" only himself and his creative output.

The difference? One has Saturn in h2, the other in h3...both have Neptune in Scorpio conjunct Ascending, by the way. Both "stand up" for themselves.

Sun and Pluto. Ego and Power in any good degrees i.e. generally 5 to say 20 specially NOT the last few ones of a house. Say 26 to 30. Because that is where the power of any planet is considered to be 'dead'.

In Vedic astrology each house is divided in 5 stages, Baby,Child,Youth,Old and Dead. That gives 6 degress to each state. So a planet in its youth ie 12 to 18 is strongest as the name suggests. Youth you see! In the earlier and later it is comparatively weak. What will a baby do? Not much. So 1 to 6 degree are powerful for a planet like Pluto but still Pluto will work much more powerfully as a child and definately as a youth. So, 6 to 18 degrees. Again it becomes weaker as an old guy and almost powerless after that.

So even when you consider these two planets near AC or MC we also have to see their degrees imo.

Thanks Love and Light

I don't know Vedic at all but I think about my Sun which is conj Beleguese but it is 28 Gemini. Wouldn't the Fixed star make it strong?
