My first Tarot experience was when I was quite young, my mom ordered a Palmistry puzzle from Chex. It had four of the Keys, Strength; Temperance, Wheel of Fortune and Justice. I must have put that thing together a thousand times... IP: Logged |

I have a question about the 5 of Swords as defeat: can it also mean victory? It's tricky because there's a winner and a loser on the card... how do we know which one applies to the situation? By looking at the surrounding cards?

Thank you very much, Doux! I didn't write the Titles, I just made them available. I would think that it would be the basic calibre of the Key itself. Browbeating of another would be a basic defeat inside oneself, I would think; sort of the opposite of St. George & the Dragon. I see Temperance as that sort of Victory over inner baseness. Of course, all our outer struggles are reflections of the Natal within. Just my two cents. IP: Logged |

After due consideration, I meant to amend this. Strength also would be a good example of stilling the savage beast. The reason that this key is difficult is it is representing the Sphere of Mars in the Fire Suit. As such, it represents unbalanced force. Many of the Keys in this Suit can be difficult. IP: Logged |
