Born in the summer of 69, Southern Hemisphere on Jan 6 Became interested in Astrology and other occult fields around 16, had address for Royal Astrological Society in England and was going to use their correspondance school but then lost the address. In 1998, I was working at a law firm and a woman there had, "Love Signs."
Naturally being a Leo I read about myself first and was awestruck.
I was unbelievably amazed to find how accurately Linda had indicated my personality, motivations, and most importantly, my faults.
Since then I have studied more and more, developing an even better sense of the planets/indications. And like someone said before, use Astrology as an IMPORTANT tool in overcoming my faults and learning to deal with people.
Linda is defininently THE GURU, and I hope she knows what a positive contribution she made to this world, bless her soul.IP: Logged |

Hello!My name's Amber! Born in Arizona... spent time in Texas and Wisconsin until I was 13 and then moved to NYC for 13 or 14 years. Moved here to Los Angeles about 3 years ago. I'm pagan. I'm particularly interested in Germanic/Norse pantheons. My mother (who may start posting here soon!!) is very in touch with her Native American side. I suppose I get a lot of my spiritual inclinations from her even though we focus on different gods/goddesses/life forces. Okay I can't really say when exactly I became interested in astrology. I always remember reading the horoscopes and being fascinated by the night sky. I've bought a few astrology books.. they're on my shelves... but for some reason I never delved into them very deeply because they always seemed very complicated. Now that I have a little time I'd like to learn more! Now that I know about the other planets and houses that can affect a person it makes even more sense. ------------------

Hi AllI'm Kat..so glad to be accepted to the group. Discovered the wonders of Astrology at a time in my life when I thought it couldn't get any worse..LOL! Decided to find out the "whys" and I have been hooked ever since. Confess to being a bit of a beginner to astrology and learning that the things I thought were the worst things that could be occuring were the things that led me to finding myself rather than fighting myself, if that makes sense to you. I'm a Gemini and literally inhale anything that gets the ol brain cells churning. The internet was a lifeline of information to me and that's how I found this group..seeking knowledge. Looking forward to this experience

Hi fellow Knowflakes!
My name is Kat and I was born September 12, 1985 at 82w55 42n23.
I discovered astrology through my mother's cousin who has always been interested in that area of study. She constantly mentioned that I was a Virgo, so I became intrigued and bought a kids astrology book while on vacation. The series is now out of print... :-(
Then she also recommended Linda Goodman....I first read Love Signs, then Sun Signs and so forth.
I was about 12 at the time.My existing knowledge of astrology is minimal, but my astrology book collection is overflowing the "one" shelf I set aside for it... ;-)
I've decided to study it further because...and this is the major reason....it helps me understand and accept people on a different level, knowing that some aspects of personality are beyond their control. I would describe astrology as an interesting and involving method of both self discovery and life perception. When people ask why I'm interested, I tell them because every civilization up until ours has greatly respected it as a science, and while I take into account my own free-will, I do "consult the stars" in an effort to clarify both my life and the lives of others.

thank u for accepting me into the course.well!i'm an aries born on apr 13 ,79.
my first brush with astrology was in the yr 1995 with sunsigns.it was quite an experience!as i went on reading , i just felt like i'm looking into a mirror!!
gradually though a 2nd & 3rd reading made me feel like somethings' missing.according to linda,i had to know my asc. & moon sign to really understand mysELF.
u can say, astrology for me had begun as a quest to KNOW!
i believe that 'to win the world , u have to conquer yoursELF'...& astrology is a journey towards me...
i have this insatiable thrist in me to Learn,Understand,Remember.......
guess, that's why i'm here!

It's really great to see so many new people here and thank you all for posting your stories.I really look forward to you all posting your thoughts/views on all of the lesson topics.
We can all learn from each other so even those of you who feel you know "nothing" about astrology please still post your thoughts/views/questions as we all have life experiences to share
