This is a happy time of the year, but also a stressful one. And definitely not a good time to learn Astrology (apparently), so since the Course has slowed up a bit, I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. Next year (January), I hope we can accelerate the Astrology Course and kick it in high gear. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Happy holidays to you to Randall. This is a bit of a slow time on the boards and in the groups, but I'm sure it will pick up after the holidays.Lanny IP: Logged |

New people are still signing up each day, though (but not as many as usual). ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

Lindaland is still very busy, but the focus has been mainly on the Astrology Forum, instead of some of the others. And this Forum had a sudden drop in activity, but I'm hopeful things will be back on track after New Year's. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Randall when do you have most online activity during the day or at night?------------------ Food is the only art that nourishes! IP: Logged |

Difficult to say, due to different time zones across the globe. In my time zone, it appears the most activity is in early morning hours, except for weekends, where it's during the late afternoons and early evenings. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." May be that with spring here, many people are outside, not at their computer.Lanny IP: Logged |

Since I joined I noticed that some of the teachers seem to have left the forum once their lessons were done, and that apart from Gregory, I don't think we've had much "homework" (which I confess I still have to make the time to do! ). So it's hard to measure a course when teachers aren't as present, and not much is asked of students... I think that's just the way it is in most learning environments -- unless they are prompted with some kind of incentive or exercise, students leave the responding to the most naturally garrulous ones, and after that peters out, then teachers wonder if the other less chatty ones are getting anything out of it...I realize it's still relatively early in the course, with a long way to go, but maybe somebody could devise an exercise where we look at a graphic of an astro chart (from astro.com, say) and try to interpret the aspects of one planet , for example. Like looking at Mercury in Einstein's chart. Anyway, something to keep us engaged after we tell about how we relate to the lesson in question. cheers, Lunargirl IP: Logged |

I think Lunargirl has an excellent idea. We need more participation in here. Maybe getting people to apply these skills they are learning to their own charts or, like Lunargirl says, someone else's.Example: Describe the moon sextile pluto aspect and how it is expressed in so and so's chart. Something like that ... Just a suggestion. Heidi IP: Logged |

Hi Lunagirl & Heidi Yes we are going to do that. Until we've covered all the planets some people may find that a little hard to do.I'll give it some thought and then may start the "Putting it All Together" thread earlier than originally intended. Initially setting exercises that work with the planets we've already covered. Sue IP: Logged |

As soon as I complete Mercury Aspecst, I was thinking of giving some well known Mercury location and aspects, but not telling who they belong to at first. That way we all could see how we would determine a particular planets meaning within a chart. I know that one planet wouldn't give us all the information about the person, but it would allow us to put some of the information together that we have covered. What do you all think?? Great, Lanny! I think we should be able to do a little something on some of the Inner planets and lights that we've covered so far. Thanks! Lunargirl IP: Logged |
