Being a venus in Cappy myself (this is part of a big old Tsquare) -I find it very difficult to stay with someone I can't envision a future with, in terms of dependability. I have a very exchange-based system in Love and also i'm not big on physical contact until certain barriers are broken. This, incidentally, makes me near-incapable of "one night stands". Coupled with my cancer moon (which opposes my venus in cappy) i'm able to sustain relationships on practically no physical basis at all, provided they meet certain criteria, one being reciprocation or at least the image of that on a similar level. Interesting info; My venus in cappy squares -

N_wEvil, that could be your Cancer Moon, because I feel the same way.Is Venus in Capricorn dependable? I know two and they are very impulsive and even impatient. When I think of Venus in Capricorn I think maybe a little insecure, likes physical affection (to give not receive), a little dictatorial, likes to give direction especially when getting a massage Left, Right, Up, Down. Passionate, Jealous and Emotional, good with finances, needs a controlled environment. Am I wrong? Natasha IP: Logged |

well, my venus opposes my moon so its all kind of tied together with me.I am impulsive, but if someone says "i need you" then its all bundled away. I very much like giving others physical affection - unless its specifically called for though it makes me uncomfortable to receive it it many cases I tend to plan relationships to a degree though and do generally feel insecure in them, and can make me somewhat demanding, although its in a very gritting-your-teeth, brushed-under-the-carpet way. Hi N_w Yes it can be difficult to seperate your Moon from your Venus. Whenever emotions are aroused - it's usually the Moon that's coming "into play". Try to think of Venus more as the things you like/love. Aside from your love life, Venus would also indicate your taste in clothes, art, decor etc. Maybe if you think of Venus in those terms it will help you to seperate your Moon from your Venus - as when we think of Venus purely from a relationship perspective that's when the Moon also gets heavily involved. hmmm, my boyfriend has his venus in capricorn, as well as his sun... and i guess a lot of these traits do apply to him. he certainly is dependable and hardworking. and he has a crazy sense of humor. He is very direct and honest with his opinions, and doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks. He just got back from chef school and he is hardcore in the kitchen...makes truly yummy food, which appeals to my venus in cancer. But you'd better stay out of his way when he is in there doing his thing... He loves me very much and is always willing to rub my back, or arm, or feet. physical touch soothes him immensely, but sometimes i when he is wanting to be touched, he looks like he is not wanting to be touched??!!?? i dunno... anyway, i love him to pieces, even if he does drive me nuts sometimes IP: Logged |

Hi Prettzel Capricorn's natural ruler is Saturn....and I think we all known how Saturn "has to do the right thing", be in control, restricts, works hard etc etc. So here we have Venus and her (Venus is considered as a female planet) desires, loves, likes etc etc mixed with Saturn who say's "no, you can't do that, it wouldn't be correct" etc. (Yes Cappy's do have a crazy sense of humour when they allow themselves to relax and let go)Can you see how his Capricorn Venus makes him sometimes look like he is not wanting to be touched? Venus wants the touch but Saturn (Capricorn) wants to keep him in control. We'll be talking more about Capricorn Venus and hopefully it will give you a fuller understanding of him Sue IP: Logged |

Ok, i've got a few minutes to try to fool around with this. So long as I'm not made to sit in the corner with a dunce cap for getting anything wrong. ...from another Venus in Cappy (in the 7th house, virtually unaspected) Feelings and displays of love (Venus) are often inhibited (Cappy). The Venus in Cappy person often seems impersonal (Capricorn) in love (Venus) and is cautious (Capricorn)about showing affection (Venus). It's this cautious attitude and sometiems impersonal approach that make the Venus in Capricorn person seem, to others, incapabale of building openly strong, close, intimate relationships (Venus). The Venus in Cappy person needs reassurance (Capricorn) that their feelings (Venus) will be returned, and they need to be sure (Capricorn) of anothers feelings (Venus) before even attempting to give themselves up emotionally or initmately (Venus). But once the Venus in Capricorn person falls in love, they are loyal and respectful (Capricorn) of that love (Venus), even when it's over. I think there's also somethign going on on the social plane (Venus). Venus in Capricorns are aware (perhaps overly so) of their reputations and feel that their partner will have an effect on them. At least this Venus in Capricorn is extremely wary of introducing any of the guys I date to my friends. In fact, I haven't introduced one in about 4 years. How'd I do, Cat? IP: Logged |

Venus in Capricorn is motivated with security---financially (Capricorn) and emotionally (Venus). This placement is apt to find classical (Capricorn) demonstrations of love appropriate, and a sense of well-being is derived from tradition (Capricorn). Venus is Capricorn prefers their love affairs (Venus) to be well-ordered (Capricorn), and events in the relationship are constantly prioritized (Capricorn). Dinner at the nice restaurant (Venus) only when there is enough money (Capricorn), fashion style (Venus) is shown through conservative styles, subdued colors, and wearable over time (Capricorn). Venus in Capricorn is comfortable with presenting to the public (Capricorn) a love affair (Venus) that is stable, respectable, and capable of responsibility (Capricorn). Venus is Capricorn will think of all the responsibilities and standards (Capricorn) it wants fulfilled (Venus), before embarking on a relationship (Venus). Love for this placement is set with a tone of reality (Capricorn), and endeavored with a well-endowed future of a happy retirement. Aphrodite IP: Logged |

Venus in Capricorn makes me 'studious' to the extent of losing myself in books, oblivious to other distractions. So, while venus in other signs has everything to do with the other 'sex' for example, this placement makes me barely in touch with my inner feelings.Although I appreciate beauty, love, the arts, music and nature, I have a hard time expressing myself or acting on these feelings and enjoying life . Order, discipline, and isolation, and the tension those create around me keep others, and most pleasures at an arm's length. lette

New to the course and a bit perplexed already!A male friend of mine has Venus and Mars both in Capricorn. (As I do also). So does that mean he has Venus/mars conjunction? I understood that to be the case, but in a recent chart he had done, the astrologer said he had Unaspected Venus. Duh!! I thought a conjunction was an aspect? Please help me to understand this! Thanks IP: Logged |

Hi Starflower It depends on the degree of each sign. Each sign has 30 degrees so if one planet was at 1 degree and the other at say 28 degree then it would not be conjunct. Although it could be classed as conjunct by sign (just to confuse you)What degree are his planets at? If you want to post his chart I'll take a quick look and check to see if his Venus is unaspected Sue There's some info on this link re aspects and orb allowances... http://www.linda-goodman.com/cgi-bin/ubb/forumdisplay.cgi?action=displayprivate&number=12&topic=000154 IP: Logged |

Thanks so much, this guy is driving me crazy. I apologize if this would be better off in the aspects lesson, but it was the whole Venus Cappy thing that got me curious. His chart: Sun Sagittarius 09°05'32 Moon Pisces 12°06'23
Mercury Sagittarius 13°03'43 Venus Capricorn 25°13'53 Mars Capricorn 13°06'49 Jupiter Gemini 28°27'32 Saturn Pisces 10°45'10 Uranus Virgo 19°22'07 Neptune Scorpio 20°26'38 Pluto Virgo 18°21'52 Incidentally, I have Sun 0 Aqua 10 Venus 28 cap 34 Mars 20 cap 32...so according to my calculations, his Venus is conjunct my Mars, his Venus is conjunct my Venus?
The thing thats puzzling me is he seems to be very attracted to me, but seems to want me to do all the running, I'm an old fashioned girl and like to be pursued and I do play it cool. He is so cool also, I wonder if this is the Cappy thing. Really appreciate this..thank you ! IP: Logged |

I forgot about the unaspected Venus, after reading the description of that, I would be tempted not to get involved with anyone with unaspected Venus. Looks like the path to absolute heart break to me!IP: Logged |

Can you actually post the birth data? As I prefer to actually see the chart - that gives me a feel for it and I find that cetain things do "jump out at me" when I look at a chart - that doesn't happen when I just read a list of aspects. I can't explain why that is but it works for me Sue IP: Logged |

Hi starflower I used to live in Cheshire.Hmmm I don't know why someone would tell you he has an unaspected Venus...because he doesn't. His natal Venus trines Uranus, sextiles Neptune & trines Pluto. Plus we would also need to have his birth time to see if it also may aspect his Asc. Without a birth time we don't know what his Ascendant (chart ruler) is. But anyway, as you can see his Venus is definately aspected IP: Logged |
