Media that stimulates my mind?Any TV show about ancient civilizations such as Egypt or Atlantis, non-fiction books on metaphysics (no fiction please) ... especially old metaphysical books eg."the Rosicrucian Mysteries". That's about it. Capricorn, Capricorn rising, Scorpio moon, Mercury in Capricorn in the 12th, sextile Saturn, trine Pluto, square MC. Only real noticeable transit I can recall was Chiron transiting natal Mercury. *edit* Music ... Soundgarden, Disturbed, Nirvana, Deftones, Pearl Jam, old Metallica, etc. Heidi IP: Logged |

I am just back from watching an hour of 'The Practice'! I love that show! It is absolutely my favourite. I also like Charmed , JAG and sitcoms like Everybody loves Raymond and Will and Grace - those two are my favourites.I love to watch figure skating, ballet and all those really flexible, bendie-wendie, graceful kind of sports. Oh yah, Tap dancing! I'm going to learn someday if it takes me a million years! I enjoy theatre and I totally love the Phantom of the Opera! It is my dream to make enough money to fly all over the world to watch it wherever it is playing! My all time favourite books - Gone with the Wind, Pride and Prejudice, To Kill a Mocking Bird and Rebecca. I never could stand Jane Eyre or Wuthering Heights or anything written by the Bronte sisters for that matter, they are just too depressing for me. I love this song by this very strange woman with a really squeaky voice going 'Heathcliffe, it's me Cathy, I've come home something, wo-ho-ho-ho', but I can't stand the book. I also enjoy books about personal empowerment, positive thought and astrology. I enjoy reading about Reiki, visualisation and Deepak Chopra kind of stuff. I also love history, especially British history for some reason - Tudor and Plantegenet, mostly. And I love PEANUTS!!! I love Linus and I love Snoopy more. Also Winnie the Pooh! IP: Logged |

hi heidi, i noticed that you like to stimulate mercury through typical capricornian tastes, the ancient and grand history. the best tastes, the most classic beauty. with mercury in the 12th, you have an interest in the intuitive, in subjects that cannot be materially proven.IP: Logged |

I'm intrigued with anything to do with the Supernatural. I tend to go in phases, and the phases I've been through so far are... Near Death Experiences UFO's (& Alien Abductions) Ghosts, Hauntings (still love that subject) Channellers, people who can communicate with the dead Of course, Astrology (my life-long interest) Also, mainstream psychology & sociology, anthropology Dream Interpretation Past life regression, reincarnation All that "spooky stuff"I'm kind of a spooky girl to some people. Not many people can hold their own for long in conversations about this stuff. It's "too heavy" for most people. I'm tickled whenever I meet someone who takes an interest in this stuff as well. I find Scorpios can keep up usually. I almost NEVER read fiction. It has to be useful information for me to bother with it. By useful, what that means to ME is along the lines of spiritually enriching, self improving and offering profound insights. I realize fiction can do this for a person as well, but how do I know that about a fiction book until I've read it completely? I would hate to invest all that time into reading a book only to not be enriched in anyway by it. I'd feel robbed of that time. Best not take the chance. Maybe it's me. Not much into movies either, but I've learned to aquire a taste for them for the social aspect! I'm pretty good at movie trivia, which brings me to another penchant I have. Trivia - can't get enough of it. Love to play that interactive online trivia contest in pubs and lounges. So fun! (when I'm winning) I like Jeopardy, and Rock & Roll Jeopardy as well. TV shows. I like CSI factor, use to love X-Files. Most sit-coms are pretty funny, I'm easy to make laugh, believe it or not! I do have a soft spot for Friends though. Those guys just crack me up! Music. Ilove all sorts of music, but mostly modern stuff, alternative rock, kind of hard hitting and edgy stuff. But I can float away to the sounds of Bach as well. tv shows: cartoons! espcially cartoon network's "adult swim", and definately the simpsons and futurama. otherwise i dont watch much tvmovies: i love comedies, campy stuff like monty python, wit like royal tenenbaums and being john malcovich, and the beauty and speed of moulin rouge books: lots of non-fiction concerning *religion and philosophy and spiritual experiences (this is the biggest category) *astrology and other forms of 'fortune telling' (for lack of a better word) like tarot cards *bach flower remedies herbs massage and other health related subjects. *for fiction i like tom robbins and douglas addams(philosophic-ish comedy) lord of the rings and the like, and i try to read 'classic' books that should be on everyone's must-read list
mags: 'rolling stone' and 'andy warhol's interview' mostly, tho i like to flip through news magazines music: everything from fifties doo-wop classics, 60's psychedelic and garage rock n roll, 70's funk glam and ny punk, 80's new wave, 90's grunge indie and jam band... also a good measure of folk and acoustic, SOME broadway and showtunes- and tho i like classical and jazz, i dont have much of it generally if it has a good BEAT and i can GROOVE and DANCE to it, i like it. i like crossword puzzles and word games, logic puzzles and stuff like that. I love thrillers! Stephen King. Especially his books. I always feel cheated on the movies They never tell as much as the book. Anne Rice is another author I enjoy reading. I love her descriptions of early New Orleans. Also, biographies on crimes. I get enthralled reading the mental processes of someone. (Sound sick?) T.V.?? Mmmm... The Sapranos. I generally enjoy the organized crime movies (i.e. Goodfellas, The Untouchables, etc.). Also I enjoy reading and watching stories which involve history. I'm the girl who enjoys watching war movies. Purely for the historical factor. Documentaries on historical cities and places. I enjoy the History Channel. I love my Discovery channel You'd be surprised at what you can learn. Magazines... I'll glance through them. I'll pick an article or two to read. I enjoy the seek and find word puzzles. However, I have to limit myself on them, as once I get started... I won't stop until I've done them all! My music taste varies somewhat. I like to listen to things from Stevie Nicks, Pink Floyd and The Doors to Mazzie Star to Nirvana and Audioslave. hi lioneye, i noticed that with your mercury in leo---it regally declares what it likes, and the "peasants" who aren't up to speed on the subjects you fancy so well, a dichotomy so to speak i also noticed that the assignment asked for what stimulates your mind, not what does not. mercury lets the world know what it does not like, a clear message to others to not approach you about the subject because it is so "beneath you" and has no function for you IP: Logged |

hi n_wevil, your mercury choices are quite interesting. they have nothing to do with actual people, but the ideas about them! science fiction, psychothrillers, science, metaphysics, computers, graphics, synthetically created audio, physics, cosmology---the big ideas, creative ones too. just, similar to the vision of aquarius, a distance away from human pettiness and emotions. i noticed a lack of human contact. your choices indicate a concern for the big picture, and creating different functions away from what humans think are possible.
