I work on this one alot, I'm leaning toward virgo for a few reasons, I don't think mercury fits virgo THAT well its not earthy enough for one thing. Another is its a well known fact that virgo people are funny about thier health a lot of hyperchondriacs and at the very least they have thier theroys and rituals (for lack of a better word) and the virgo 6th house is the house of health. Chiron tried but could never heal thyself Hey that would make chiron an earth sign and that would fit with all his sound, sage advice (what are earth signs if not "grounded" Give me you're thoughts on this mysterious planet. I'm open to anythingIP: Logged |

Ah come on guys, There are some great astrological minds in here, Someones got to have more (or better) information than I have. Any ideas on what mode it might be? maybe mutable because of its odd orbit? Could Chiron rule Libra ? you know Venus is feminine and Libra is masculine Taures is feminine and could fit leaving Libra unaccounted for. I read an interesting piece years ago about a possible link with Vulcan (when we find it) and virgo. Venus and Mercury still rule two signs each. I'm seeing Chiron more and more and have a decent (as much as I can)understanding of its energys, Usually a crux to begin with and later turning "out for the best" I think this is where you take the high road. Please anything would be appreciated.IP: Logged |

I don't think there is a ruler because it's an asteroid. I believe rulers only pertain to astrological constellations. However Chiron is a great influence on matters of love and long lasting relationships. It's also the mythological wounded hero, in which he tells us where we are wounded in life, and how we can learn to use that wound and help others. -StarLover IP: Logged |

thank you Star Lover for answering my question. I've been researching chirons energy (especially the conj. to the moon and asc.) Anyone out there with an especially strong chiron? I'm very interested, how has it colored your person? Are you sympathetic, kind? I would love to hear your story ThanksIP: Logged |

I have a book by Barbara Hand Claw called "Chiron" where she expresses the idea that he probably rules Virgo. I don't agree with that idea since he is an asteroid and not a planet (what's up with planetoids?), though I still find her work quite insightful.

The wound it refers to is supposed to be one that never fully heals itself...so I've read. I've also read that Virgo is its possible ruler. I don't know for certain.IP: Logged |

I've always wondered why Chiron doesn't rule Sagittarius, since he was the most well-known and respected of the Centaurs. It seems that he would be a more appropriate Lord of the Archer, than Zeus. Although Zeus and the more rowdy archers do have much in common D IP: Logged |
