Just getting started on here and have some very important questions. Remember just started, Ok.... Is sun the first of the 12 houses? If so I am Aqua. Ok, now is the ascendant and the moon the same? For example.. My natal chart says my ascendant is Gem but my moon is Aqua. I thought moon and ascendant were the same. See I do need some help but feel like these answers will help.

Welcome Kim, I hope that you will learn a lot from this course.

The ascendant is the degree of the sign on the horizon at the momment you were born. It isn't a planet like the others we will be discussing. The ascendant sets the locations of the houses in your natal chart by setting where the first house starts. In your case gemmini was coming over the horizon at the momment of your birth.

Your Moon sign is the location of where the Moon is in the sky at the time you wee born. I can fall in any of the 12 houses in your natal chart. In you case the Moon was in aquarius.

Your sun sign, like the moon falls in one of the 12 houses, depending on the day you were born. According to what you said, Your Sun falls in aquarius.

all 3 of these components of your chart are important to understand. Read back over the lessons to see what each one means by sign, location and house.

Ok, I think I got it. Thanks. I typed something wrong in for my natal chart and found out my acsendant is Libra. You what you say makes since now.
