welcome ScotScorp Leo rising with your moon in Leo (which one of your parents is a leo?) Moon in the 12th and Neptune in the 4th, in mutual reception, nice. We're working on Mercury right now yours has 3 aspects can you tell me what they are? for right now lets look at your ascendant (Dane Rudhyar) The individual with a Leo Ascendant seeks to discover who he is by creating mirrors upon which he can project and reveal to his consciousness what his oringinal birth-potential - or Soul potentialities and dharma - is. He seeks to find his self in his creations, at whatever level these creations find their embodiment; thus the creation may be a child, a work of art, a specific kind of social performance, etc.. If one understands well this process, two factors will stand out clearly. First, the Leo rising individual has to impose his desire for self-projection upon whatever materials are necessary; he has to see that they are available and responsive to his projected imagination and will force. When these necessary 'materials' are other human beings, the Leo person becomes the man who has to lead and even to rule over people or social projects. But the second factor, which should not be forgotten, is that this intense desire for self-projection is rooted in and conditioned by the fact that the individual is not sure of what he essentially is. He tends to be socially insecure because he is uncertain of his dharma. He has to prove himself to himself, to discover who he is in the mirror of his creations. His grand gestures may indeed be compensations for this inner lack. At all cost he must find out how people react to him, and perhaps discover his strength in their subservience. In order to be able to express his unclearly-known self, he has to be able to handle cultural products and thus Aquarian symbols, words and concepts. He meets his partners in terms of vast concepts - social, cultural, occult. These are needed to provide basic forms for his will to expression. Thus the Leo Ascendant must interact with the Aquarius Descendant.

Thank you LLL!My Mom is Virgo at 1 degree 54' 46". Her Venus is Leo, and both parents share that generational Pluto in Leo. My Dad is Sag, which in my natal is the 4th house with Neptune. The three aspects to my Libra Mercury are: Square Leo Moon Square Cancer Saturn Conjunct Libra Uranus I read Pixel's Leo Ascending info, and I like the additional information you gave with mine. I didn't realize, until I learned my moon and rising, how many people I have links with with my moon and ascend/descend. I know SO many people with Aquarius suns, moons and risings it's not funny. Thanks again! Angela ------------------ Scorpio/Leo/Leo IP: Logged |

Hello Scot Scorpio, We're on Mercury right now, yours is in the 3rd house in Libra. (John Townley) With your lively imagination, you prefer a love affair that is constantly in motion. You don't want your role in a relationship to be static; you like to continualy change your position in relation to your partner, rather as if in a game. This can be a fine way to enliven a relationship, but do not let it devolve into a competition or a series of rounds of one-upmanship, which can happen if your partner takes the game too seriously. You envision love as an intrinsically beautiful structure that requires continual upkeep, both physical and emotional, to keep it as close as possible to perfection. You enjoy physical lovemaking, but only if you are personally involved with your partner. A one-night stand does not allow that, and is likely to be a disappointment. Because of your appreciation of the art and technique of love, you may keep careful mental notes on your lovers, comparing them to each other in various ways. This helps you understand the variety of factors that make up an enjoyable relationship. Probably no partnership can live up to all of your ideal criteria; but don't let that get you down. Much of your pleasure in an affair comes from constant change and improvement, always reaching new levels of beauty and enjoyment.
Mercury in the 3rd (Stephanie Camilleri) This is an excellent position for a writer or communicator of any kind: filmmaker, photographer, graphic artist, secretary, lecturer, teacher. The mind is open and flexible, and keeps a youthful and eager approach to life, or at least to those areas of life on which it has decided to concentrate. There is a great interest in animals, children, and nature. There is an ability to move easily from one idea or field to another. With Mercury in Fire or Air, they are inclined to move too rapidly or easily, picking up nothing as they go, remembering little, and leaving no trace of having been there. They usually have great stories about people they have known and places they have been. There is a great incoming stream of information about the world; but without aspects of crystallization these will form no philosophy or concepts, and will be put to no other use than amusing conversation with whoever is around. There is a great feel for the true sound and tempo of everyday life, that is good for playwrights, novelists, comedians, etc.. It makes a person capable of being a very witty and entertaining companion. They usually have a wide circle of amusing acquaintances, although deep friendships must be shown by other factors. They will gladly take the other side of the argument for the sheer pleasure of it and to keep up the ecvitement of a conversation, though they actually feel committed to no one position, which can be aggravating to those around them, who may feel that there is simply nothing there. They are better at providing a forum forothers, recording others, helping others to bring forth their ideas, than they are at presenting their own, for often they have no real viewpoint, since they see so clearly all sides of a question. They are resentful of pigeonholes and labels, love freedom, and hate to be tied down, especially mentally (by a boring job or relationship). They will struggle until they find a spot where they can use their mentality as they please.

Thank you LLL!So true so true... I do have to say though, that even though I see both sides of any story, I will choose sides if need be. Most of the time I'd rather stay out of the middle of any argument. Angela ------------------ Scorpio/Leo/Leo IP: Logged |

Hi ScotScorp, Sometimes I have no idea where my brain is, this is one of those times. Lets finish with your Mercury aspects. conjunct Uranus (an aspect of special genius) square the Moon square Saturn Mercury conjunct Uranus (Charles Carter) This is a powerful, self-willed combination, varying from the wayward and stubborn type to the enlightened and talented. Generally speaking, the influence is not exceedingly marked, because the two planets are not dissimilar; but the will-power of Uranus is added to the intellect of Mercury, and there is a more colorful, dramatic, forceful mentality. It is independent, sensitive, proud, and sometimes secretive; but these effects are much modified by the sign occupied. The native almost always lives his own life and resents interference very fiercely. In undeveloped characters, the influence is not good, and there is often little to show for it except pride and touchiness. Sometimes there is considerable eccentricity and conceit, and talent that cannot be properly utilised because of the native's self-will and lack of adaptability. It is common in the charts of astrologers. Moon square or opposition Mercury (Karen Hamaker-Zondag) Restlessness is often a marked feature of hard aspects between the Moon and Mercury. In these aspects we are always alert, not to say nervy and tense. There is little we fail to notive, but we are liable to suffer from sleep disorders of one kind or another because we have such a pile of impressions to assimilate. Besides, the desire for security (Moon) is in conflict with the urge to gather experience and to communicate what we have found. Therefore contacts can be frustrating: we do not feel comfortable (in keeping with the Moon) when conversing with others (in keeping with Mercury). This uneasiness can provoke various reactions, one of which (quite regardless of the sign background) is chattering away nineteen-to-the-dozen and jumping from one subject to another - overcompensating in fact. Sometimes we run into trouble by taking too personally what we learn. The nerviness caused by a conflict between the Moon and Mercury tends to preclude steady thought. We are liable to jump to conclusions and blurt out the first thing that comes to mind without taking the trouble to get the facts straight. Perhaps we base what we are saying on a mass of unrelated details and fail to grasp the general picture. Others may regard us as sometimes lacking maturity and balance. These aspects, too, have their creative side. Authorship is one possibility. Owing to an insatiable curiousity, we stumble, every now and then, on unusual and unknown facts which we can turn to good account. However, we do need to be careful not to be too hasty in making up our minds about their significance. Due to the tension between activities that are emotional and formative and those that are mental, we are inclined to be dissatisfied with our performance. We may even tear up a good piece of work because we are not sure that it is good enough. Or else we keep going over it with a fine-tooth comb until it gets on our nerves. All the same, these conflicts can be very creative.
Mercury square or opposition Saturn (Karen Hamaker-Zondag) The tense aspects between these two planets give a fairly gloomy cast to the mind. When we start considering anything (mercury), we come into conflict with the need to qualify, limit and define. In the worst case, this can mean narrow-mindedness, and mistrust of everything we meet. But there are other possibilities. Anxiety, caution, careful verification and even timidity are almost bound to play a part in ordinary contacts and also in our thinking. Once thing is certain: we are never going to rush things. We are serious, prudent, calm and collected, and will often reflect on what others say - not to be guided by it, but in order to work out what lies behind it. We want to know every detail so that we do not have to reveal how uncertain we are over relationships and contacts. Others do not find us easy to get on with. We are not spontaneous but rather inhibited and, sometimes by way of overcompensation, argumentative and domineering in our talk. Sometimes we seem like an immovable block of concrete and seem determined to look on the dark side of everything. Although these two planets are at cross-purposes here, the confrontations they cause can be instructive to us. The energy of the square or opposition helps us to come to terms with them, and, even though the aspects are hard, we can develop many valuable characteristics associated with the combination of Mercury and Saturn: willingness to work hard, a serious and studious nature, practicality, economy, sobriety, and good powers of concentration.
