Scorpbaby,

This is the thread I will be answering you on Go ahead and reply on whatever thread we're working on.

Isn't your Chiron RX?
Double Check it
I was looking at your chart, what a powerhouse, strong doesn't even begin to describe it. Your sun is involved in some powerful aspects and planets. You were born on a full Moon which we'll discuss later and an almost EXACT Sun/Pluto conjunction, in Scorpio no less AND the 1st House. There is nothing you can't do if you put your mind to it. Your determination is great, you never give up. Good qualities to have.

Sun conjunct Pluto

(Betty Lundsted)

This is a creative aspect, for it puts the personality in touch with the collective unconsciousness as it is defined in the Jungian concept. This contact can be an easy, creative talent once it's channeled.

The physical father plays an important part in the child's development, and how important this is depends on whether the Sun is in a positive or negative polarity. The positive signs indicate the father is an overwhelming personality who is able to completely control and manipulate the child. This child will become an adult who automatically imitates the father because he doesn't know any other set of 'normals'.

This is a person who thinks he must totally control his environment. So he enters adult relationships with this attitude and doesn't consciously know what he is doing. The people around him resent being controlled and manipulated, and pull away as soon as they can. As relationships fail one after another, this person becomes more apprehensive and therefore more controlling until he attracts only people who are weak enough to be manipulated. This aspect needs to relate to strong people in order to develop balance; there is a general feeling of discomfort when he becomes attached to weaklings.

When this aspect occurs to a child from a mother-dominated background, the mother and father are often involved in a great power-struggle. The child sees no other way of life, no other form of relating. The battle that goes on between his Mom and Dad is the one involving the power of the strong versus the power of the weak. The child doesn't really know who's winning, so he doesn't know which role to play. As he becomes an adult and attempts relationships, he too will try to control those relationships any way he can. He can be strong one day and completely neurotic the next, whichever tactic will win the war.

Care must be taken when trying to determine power in a personality, for power can be that of the strong dominating the weak, or the tyranny of the weak in an attempt to manipulate someone who is physically or mentally stronger. A person who feigns a heart attack or other forms of illness in order to control a family is just as Plutonic as someone who wields a mighty fist.

People with Pluto conjunct the Sun do not want to feel out of 'control' in any situation. They overwhelm others any way they can. One can't really blame them, for they were taught how to do this early in the childhood. They can overwhelm with love, caring, concern, guilt, problems, solutions, or anything else one can think of. If you find yourself becoming resentful of someone; if you feel you have no 'space' or you can't breathe, you may be feeling what it's like to be around a strong Pluto type. The energy causes others to become defensive, for they feel that their very essence is being invaded.

This conjunction brings great energy, but first the owner must become conscious of the power. Some people become righteous, some have all the answers, some are obsessive. Often they are not conscious of their obsession with an idea or a person. They can be so intense that they are considered 'psychic vampires' for they take energy from everyone around them. They don't always know what they are doing or saying; the unconscious need to control just seems to burst forth in the personality. If the energy is channeled, this person becomes a transformer, a powerful and helpful person in the universe.

Ok I didn't know we were counting Chiron, that's interesting!
I can definately see the power plays of Sun/Pluto in my chart but somehow even with this aspect I lack determination and assertiveness. I know this has much to do with Mars in the 12th, and it makes my chart contradictory almost.
But despite my lack of determination I do feel my inner strength at work very often. Looking back on my past I see where I could have fallen apart, but I wouldn't allow it. I'm only 19 and I feel I've succesfully survived the storms and am proud of myself for remaining humble and keeping a sense of self. Even though I've handled my past situation with strength the challenges I've faced have left me with psychic wounds that I feel are beyond me in many ways. It's funny a lot of the problems in my life stem from my relationship with "father figures". I guess by looking at my chart that would be obvious!lol
And this is also something I've always thought to be completely Ironic...So the moon represents the mother and the Sun represents the father...well my Mom is a Scorpio(my Sun) and my Dad is a Taurus( my Moon), there's a switch. They had me at a young age and my Mom opted not to get married. I never lived with my Dad, and he never was much of a stable father figure...
There's much more to this, it's really amazing because I feel like it's written out all over my chart.

I also do try to hide the fact that I am a somewhat intense person, and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing to hide though. I'm fearful of asserting myself for reasons I don't yet understand. I'm conscious of my thoughts, actions, and other people maybe too conscious because the awareness has given me tons of anxiety! I'm glad this reading mentioned Carl Jung's teachings because I really love his theories. The collective unconscious is something I was so drawn to when I studied Psychology in highschool. The things I've channelled from the collective Unconscious seem to be a jumble of feeling/intuition that are difficult to articulate at times because they are so overwhelming.
Some questions I have on this aspect..
How would the moon opp. add to the Sun/Pluto reading ?
And also if the Sun/Pluto in the 1st would overshadow my Ascendant Venus 1st or the other way around?

Oops and one more thing, Doesn't Chiron also have to do with the father figure?
And mine is Rx!

Hi Scorpbaby,
Ok, about your Natal chart you have 5 major driving forces, that takes turns dictating your life, moods, and wants.

Sun conjunct Pluto
Sun Scorpio opposite Moon Taures (exaltation of the Moon) A Full Moon birth
Venus in Libra strong in its home sign and conjunct your Libra Asc.(very positive placement)
Moon opposite Pluto
Mutual reception with Mars in the 12th (double debility) and Venus in the 1st

We'll get to all of these eventually but for right now lets start with your full moon birth, which you described perfectly.

(Betty Lundsted)

When a child is born with a square or opposition between the Sun and Moon, some kind of hostility or grief is indicated between the mother and father because the relationship isn't what the parents expected it to be. Whatever the cause, the child picks up the unrest, and it seems to the child that fathers and mothers have conflict. Because emotional responsibility develops in each of us as a result of the parental influence, the person with afflictions between sun and Moon often has more self-doubt regarding relationships than other people. This makes it difficult for the individual to find a comfortable place in the universe. The nurtuting qualities of the Moon are in conflict with the creative self. The person is at odds over what to be and what to feel. When this is exacmined in terms of modes, the conflict may be understood.

When the self responds to life one way and the emotional nature responds to life another, the tug of war between the two often forces a lessening of self-expression as well as an apprehension about expressing feelings. Because we can't ignore either part of the personality, we tend to suppress one side until it bursts forth in some kind of explosion. We then compensate by 'behaving well' until the energy releases again. If we understand that both energies are valid, we can learn a way to express both, and the personality is then at peace with itself.

The conflict between the Sun and Moon indicates a life-long search for identity. Many people who have the square are unhappy. They look for answers by getting into therapy, by looking into religion or philosophy, or use some other means that may help them to understand why they are here in this universe. Although the aspect doesn't bestow happiness, it can lead to a very interesting and spiritually developed life.

Yes on an emotional level this placement is so difficult. I'm more controlled by my feelings and go from the 2 extremes of expressing or repressing. In the past when I have been in emotional upheaval I've repressed in order to keep from going under, then later when my pain or upset is triggered I'm suddenly overwhelmed. The overwhelming emotion only lasts shortly until it's repressed again, and in the meantime I think that I've gotten over it, but the cycle lives on.
I think you mentioned before I had a moon singleton. How does that incorporate into this? It's worried me because it's in the 7th, house of relationships, and seems to have affected my male relations.

Hi lalalinda I'm sorry for the bombardment of questions hon! On addition to the question above, about the moon singleton, since it is a very prominent in my chart...would that make me somewhat cancerian?

IT's in the 7th house (partnership) and I find myself mostly attracted to men w/ Cappy influence (opp. of cancer)...hmmmm...

Hi Scorpbaby,
I'm a littlle behind on you so expect a bombardment from me today
You have Libra Rising with Venus in Libra conjunct your ascendant. This is your chart ruler, a very strong placement. This is an aspect of great beauty. Your Venus makes no hard aspects, talk about charmed

(John Townley)

With your Ascendant in Libra, you have almost an addiction to physical beauty and grace in sexuality. You are happiest when surrounded by all the props that make lovemaking more sensual and beautiful - fine clothes, incense and perfume, elegant sheets, anything to set the stage for a ballet of love.

If there is a disadvantage to this position, it is that you idealize love so much that it is difficult for any partner to live up to your expectations, both physically and emotionally. Occasionally you must come down to earth, for otherwise you may set your sights too high for any realistic relationship.

In most relationships, you are the one who develops ideas rather than the one who thinks of them. Your talent lies in turning a love affair into an artistic mode of self-expression for both of you. However, you must give your lover plenty of room for personal development and avoid the temptation to be manipulative in order to get your way. Although you may modify and refine the relationship, you cannot choreograph it all yourself; that requires an equal effort and confrontation by both partners.

If the relationship is well balanced, you can shape and articulate it to the point that others will see you both as 'beautiful people'.

Venus conjunct Asc.
(Betty Lundsted)

When the Ascendant conjuncts Venus, the energy expresses according to the sign involved in the conjunction. The Ascendant represents the persona, the masquerade, the 'best foot forward'. Venus indicates how we appreciate love, how we wish to be treated, our concept of the feminine principle and, therefore, how we regard femininity and womanhood.

This conjunction often indicates a warm and social personality. It can indicate individuals who are capable of being generous and responsive to what pleases them. However, the generosity reflected will be influenced by the images coming from the mother's sphere early in the life, and the aspects to the conjunction will indicate if the energy operates freely or not.

Venus trine Jupiter (Betty Lundsted)

Many think that this is a creative aspect, for Venus indicates an appreciation of beauty and the arts; and Jupiter indiactes our ability to expand, and sometimes abundance. When the two are in trine aspect, it implies that the mother of the native is able to relate her concept of femininity and feeling in a constructive manner. She demonstrates the ability to give and receive love easily when this person is forming a personality (age 0-3). The individual learns to respond to works of art, to beauty, and to relating in general. This usually is the mark of one who falls in love with a constructive person, who enjoys a lovely home, literature, the classics. This individual is able to appreciate the love given to him, and can graciously accept any favor or gift.

Such people are inspiring to be around, for their enjoyment of life is obvious. However, the impact of the aspect will be curtailed if the Moon is afflicted.

Venus sextile Uranus (Betty Lundsted)

Here, the mother affects the individual's psyche in a constructive manner. Venus represents the intellectual concept of love, the ability to appreciate love, and Uranus represents the behavior pattern that affects one's generation. The sextile indicates that the mother is able to give this person a far-reaching or modern concept of love and can teach him how to appreciate being loved. Since Uranus rules the sign of Aquarius, it encompasses development on a humanitarian level as well as new concepts in scientific research. The energy is exciting, for it uplifts or lifts the desire nature to heights that Venus probably would not reach all by itself. The aspect represents talent; and as this individual matures the influence from his mother will benefit the consideration of new ideas and new possibilities - and that's a healthy pattern for creative expression.

Hi Scorpbaby,

How you doing Sweetie? I'm jumping around a little, we're doing Mercury right now, yours is in Scorpio and the 2nd house
conjunct Saturn
sextile Mars

Mercury in Scorpio
(Frances Sakoian and Louis Acker)

Mercury in the sign Scorpio gives an intuitive mind capable of profound insights. The natives' perceptiveness can lead to critical examination of human motivations; they see things accurately, but not necessarily charitably. They may use sharp language, since they refuse to mince words in order to spare the feelings of others. They prefer to say exactly what they feel, or else remain silent. They carry on many plans and endeavors in secret, and communicate only where comminication serves a definite purpose in terms of what they are trying to accomplish. However, since they can be swayed themselves by strong emotional factors, they are more objective when not personally involved.

These people have determined minds and great resourcefulness, which enables them to surmount obstacles that many would find impossible to deal with. If Mercury is afflicted in Scorpio, there can be scheming, plotting, and ulterior motives.

People with Mercury in this sign make good detectives, investigators, and researchers. In highly developed types, there is scientific ability arising from their curiosity about the inner workings of the energy responsible for objective manifestation. This leads to insight into the fundamental processes of change.

If Mercury is afflicted in this sign, the mind can be preoccupied with sex. There also can be a mistrust of others.

Mercury in the 2nd house
(Howard Sasportas)

If well-aspected, Mercury in the 2nd can be a skilful manipulator of money or finance, especially adept at arbitration and making deals with others. Money can be earned through such professions as selling, writing, lecturing, teaching, secretarial work, the transport industry, etc.. They may be concerned with the movement or distribution of goods, with devising new techniques of production, or with ways of improving the quality of existing products. Innate values to be developed include inventiveness, dexterity, flexibility and a talent for using words.

On a broader level, there is a curiosity and urge to understand the nature of the physical world. A small pebble found on the beach or the intricacies of a hair follicle found on the body are endlessly fascinating for a minute or two. A sense of security is found through knowledge and learning how something works. However, unless Mercury is in a Fire sign, it may take some time before experience is fully transmuted into understanding when placed in the earthy second house.

Mercury conjunct Saturn
(Robert Pelletier)

The conjunction of Mercury to Saturn shows that you are responsible, contemplative, and serious, partly because of your early training. You solve problems logically and waste little time with superficial matters. A veritable storehouse of information, you extract something meaningful from every experience. You are a good listener and cautious about voicing your own opinions in conversation. Rather than induge in fanciful dreams, you prefer to apply yourself to goals that are well within your reach. You are sometimes pessimistic and may become severely depressed when you face reversals.

Your professional interests could be in mathematics, drafting, engineering, architacture, teaching, or politics. In fact, there is a wide range of occupations in which you could be successful. However, you will lose interest in your job if it doesn't make demands on your talents. But if you know your own efforts are appreciated, you will make enormous contributions. As you tend to be a loner, you will work better if you can set your own pace. Generally you would rather work alone because you are irritated by distraction from associates. Your rmployer will always get his money's' worth because you are honest and sincere and insist on fulfilling your part of the contract. You don't expect to get something for nothing.

Though you are intellectuatlly capable and reasonably ambitious, recognition of your abilities may be delayed or overshadowed by your gregarious competitots. Be especially careful not to let your co-workers pick your brains; you are so eager to demonstrate how things whould be done that you unwittingly divulge information that you should keep in reserve. However, don't be afraid to speak up when you have a good idea. If you are shy, get someone you trust to present it for you.

Because of your air of indifference, people may think that you are not interested in social contacts. Actuatlly, you are usually engrossed in deep thought triggered by something said earlier. You may be absent-minded at times. Even in a large gathering, you may become so dissociated that others do not realize you are there; nor do you.

You need to be able to confide in someone close to you whom you can trust. Your romantic interests are stimulated by a person who is mature, honest, sincere, and responsible. Tradition and custom represent security to you, and you respect them. Your religious beliefs are probably the same as your parents' and reflect your childhood training. You resist change unless it can be proven to be an improvement over the past.

Unles you take time to unwind often, you will invite tension. Take frequent 'little vacations' and just waste time doing nothing productive. Try to look at the bright side and learn to laugh at your own mistakes. It is essential to avoid becoming morbidly obsessed with the big, important issues.

Mercury sextile Mars (Betty Lundsted)

This aspect bestows the ability to act with reason; the mind and the action taken can be co-ordinated in time. These people can be creative producers. The childhood atmosphere encourages the discussion of problems and circumstances, so they can easily discuss their difficulties as adults. The imagination is fertile. Although it isn't as fertile as a Neptune aspect will be, it is fertile in a productive way because this individual is likely to act on constructive thoughts.

Hi Lala I'm doing very well, thankyou! And yourself? This is so nice of you do have written all this up
After reading everything I feel like there are so many contradicitons in my personality.
Mercury conjunct Saturn is a serious placement...and I can be very very serious, but then I can also be a huge goof. But I do analyze things over and over in my mind. I just pick everything apart. My family and friends get a little annoyed sometimes and have to tell me to relax and forget what's on my mind for a while.
