I really don't know silverbells before the internet, and the year 2000 I used the standard 100 year ephemeris by I think Michaelson (I'll check) Other than the phases of the Moon I don't know that almanacs chart the course of the planets. Heres one for now http://www.achernar.btinternet.co.uk/index.html#top IP: Logged |

Thank you lalainda. The link that you gave me is very helpful. There is something else that I wanted to know. I asked this question on another forum but I guess it's a no-go. In reference to astrobiology it is said that the sun/moon aspect has to be the same as in the woman's natal chart for conception to occur but I was the moon doesn't move fast enough for this to occur every month, or does it? So I was wondering if I was missing something because I know little more than the basics about astrology. Also, is the moon ever in retrograde? And is the sun/moon angle the same as the moon/sun angle, you can't flip that in astrology can you? Okay, thank you in advance for the information. This is not very quick. ------------------ Get some love in your groove, just get hip to forgive... - Michael Franks IP: Logged |

ok lets see if I have this right is astrobiology for conception?I looked for your chart silverbells but I don't have it. So I'll show you with my chart My Sun is 19 degrees 40" Aries, my Moon is 13 degrees 03" Taures. Thats a distance of 23 degrees 33" For conception,(for me) Transiting Moon will be 23 degrees past where ever the current transiting Sun is. The Sun and Moon are never Rx Sun/Moon angle is the same as Moon/Sun angle. You can only have one aspect between them. Was that your question? slip me your stats and if that isn't what you're talking about we'll find it IP: Logged |

Hi lala, Astrobiology is for conception or birth control, though I am hearing that one should be wary of using it for birth control because of lack of clear information on the subject in general. Yes, that was my question about the degrees but how could the transiting moon be 23 degrees past the sun every month. It would seem that would only occur every other month. I was reading in another thread something about the different stages of the moon. Does the moon always become a full moon, new moon, etc. at different degress, say new moon at 10 degrees, quarter moon at 20 degree, full moon at 30 degrees, something like that? Now the example you gave about the Sun/Moon angles, would that only be the moon 23 degrees past the sun or could that include the moon 23 degree before the sun as well?------------------ Get some love in your groove, just get hip to forgive... - Michael Franks IP: Logged |

lalalinda- do you use astro.com and if you do why would it say that someone has Neptune at 53'43" if there are only 30 degree in each sign?P.S. I'm not purposefully trying to monopolize your time so please do not be offended. ------------------ Get some love in your groove, just get hip to forgive... - Michael Franks IP: Logged |

Hi SilverbellesThe Full Moon is when (you can see it) the current transiting Sun and Moon are opposite The new Moon (you can't see it) is when the transiting Sun and Moon are conjunct Right now the Sun is 22 Aries and the Moon is 10 Gemini, a distance of: 8 degrees to get out of Aries 30 degrees through Taures 10 degrees to Gemini 48 degree distance (it just passed the semi-square aspect at 45 degrees) What degree is your Sun and Moon? Calculate this distance and apply it to the Transiting Sun (22 Aries) Yes I use Astro.com 53' is minutes (60 minutes to a degree) 43" is seconds (60 seconds to a minute ) IP: Logged |

Hi lalalinda, I don't understand what you were saying about 30 degree through Taurus and 10 degrees to Gemini. I went on that site that you gave the link to and I think that I am not calculating properly because I got a different number of degrees in the Sun/Moon than astro.com said that it was that day. for example: when you say the Sun is 22 degrees Aries and the Moon is 10 degrees Gemini I would say that they are at a 40 degree angle so I'm pretty sure that I did something wrong. And you know what else? I don't understand why astro.com has 3 numbers per planet, for instance: Sun 1 Lib 4'50". Is there a thread here that deals with calculation and moon phases? The technical aspect? Thank you for the information, it is very helpful. ------------------ Get some love in your groove, just get hip to forgive... - Michael Franks IP: Logged |

Hi Silverbells, Look at the "finding aspects" thread for more info. Why not give me the degrees of your Sun and Moon and I'll show you how to apply it to the current transits. The Sun was at 22 Aries, it takes 8 degrees to get to 30 30 degrees per sign (through Taures) and 10 degrees to get to the current position of the Moon. a total of 48 degrees IP: Logged |

Hi lalalinda, I'm sorry that I just up and dissapeared while we were working on these aspect (you: teaching, I: learning). I have to go to the library now if I want to get on the computer cause something weird happened to the one at home. I hope that you will still be willing to help me when I am able to come around and devote more time to comprehending the degrees and other aspects [double entendre (isn't that?)] anyway, I have found the site that you posted with the ephmeris in it, very useful and helpful, thank you so much. I think that I already said that in an earlier post but it bears repeating. Till then ..... --------------------- ...Get some Love in your Groove, Just get hip to Forgive - Michael FranksIP: Logged |

welcome back astro.com has a good ephemeris that I'm currently using. (at the bottom of the Home page) Problems are par for the course right now (Mercury Rx) so silverbelles why don't you list the degree of your Sun and Moon and we'll continue. IP: Logged |
