Hi delerious, You and I share a birthday, cool day to be born. Your Ascendant is 6 degrees Cancer, your chart is ruled by the Moon. Uranus conjunct the Moon widely (10 degrees) but is such a strong aspect that it still applies. I'll give you both definitions below Moon in the Natal 2nd House (Haydn Paul) What will feel essential to satisfy your inner needs is material and financial security associated with a stable life-style. The foundation for this will be establishing a loving family home; and achieving this will be a preoccupation. You prefer a controlled life, minimizing the threat of unsettling changes; and you erect barriers to keep those changes at a distance. Money is important in this respect to protect against financial concerns, although this is unlikely to be absolutely secure, due to the lunar fluctuating nature. If the Moon is placed in a fixed sign, then your financial situation may be more stable than if it is in a mutable sign. Home is seen as a castle protecting you from the storms of life. Sitting there, surrounded by family, material possessions, and comfort, you feel a sense of solidity, emotional security, and well-being. If anything threatens this, you feel extremely vulnerable, as your center of identity has been displaced into the external world. Your feelings have been projected onto family and possessions, and they become the center of your life, the heart on which everything depends. Losing a favored life possession becomes emotionally damaging, reminding you that life cannot be controlled and that instability lurks around every corner, pointing out the impossibility of erecting inviolable barriers. If this need for emotional security is allowed to become too powerful, it can become claustrophobic and suffocating to loved ones, and can leave you too vulnerable to the independent actions and choices of others. These needs may have developed during childhood, where you felt protected and nurtured by parents; you wish to recreate this feeling in adult life. You may have received social or parental attitudes related to security and stability needs; perhaps beliefs concerning the maintenance of the status quo and conservative attitudes in life were stressed, or perhaps pursuing financial prosperity was emphasized as an essential adult objective. Certainly, such attitudes and values have influenced your adult behavior.
If you develop some flexibility within these security needs and withdraw any projections onto others or onto possessions, a more sensible balance can be achieved, one that is less vulnerable to being shattered by unexpected experiences. The sense of emotional well-being should be found within, through integrating feelings and dependency needs, and by an awareness of what is necessary for self-nurture. The most fulfilling roots are those which exist within yourself, not in the external world. You may be attracted toward mankind's history and heritage, or to family traditions, a trait which could be used for personal interest or for business purposes. You may have an instinctive talent for understanding the marketplace, using your affinity with material possessions and comfort to sense what consumer products people need or can be persuaded to desire. Such a perception could be exploited effectively through business concerns for your future prosperity. Moon conjunct Uranus (Betty Lundsted)
The Moon symbolizes our emotional responses to life, the responses we learned at an early age from our mother; and Uranus indicates a behavior pattern that is connected to the generation we were born into. If the word 'erratic' can be associated with Uranus aspects, we may surmise that we have erratic emotional responses with this conjunction. The chances are that the mother of the person with this aspect responds to her life in some erratic or eccentric fashion during the individual's childhood. It may be that the mother doesn't respond emotionally unless it's in the form of an emotional outburst; the child may have difficulty determining whether Mom is happy, angry or upset; here the emotional tirades come out of nowhere. The adult with this aspect tends to make sudden and abrupt emotional decisions that sometimes offend others, for decisions of an emotional nature are seldom discussed before they are made. The emotional responses or reactions may be unpredictable. This can be both good and bad. It gives the individual a close tie to his generation and creates an affinity with peer group goals; so, it often indicates a person involved in healing or social welfare. It indicates a person who responds so suddenly and so strangely to emotional relationships that he leaves a string of broken hearts behind him as he rejects one lover after another, rarely working through relationship problems. If the rest of the chart warrants, it can indicate individuals who draw violent relationships. For example, a woman with this aspect can be involved in sudden break-ups; this may result in an angry lover trying to break down her door. If these women want to avoid violence, they must consciously learn to share their feelings and hurts before coming to a decision about a relationship. They need to learn to discuss their feelings, for this is the only way a man (or anyone) can understand how they feel. The constructive behavior pattern will have to be learned, for the child didn't see the mother making reasonable or considerate decisions. In the case of a man, it tends to indicate an individual who doesn't commit himself to one relationship, who may leave in a huff when the situation is not going his way. He goes from one love to another, or one marriage to another, rather than sharing himself with the person he says he loves. Rarely is he physically abused, since men usually are not physically attacked by women; but it sometimes happens. Should this male be homosexual, however, he may suffer from physical violence in his emotional involvements until he learns how to share his feelings.

Thank you so much LaLa! Very interesting. Mostly on target - thankfully much I've worked through by now. Also something in my chart must mitigate the violent aspect to some degree - its only been a rare visitor to my life. (thankfully again!)IP: Logged |

needed to edit this cause since then some of my questions have already been answeredWas wondering about my Aries/Cancer being influenced by Saturn's transit!? How long has this been happening? The last year esp. and more like 2 has seen some radical changes in my life, (mostly good but fairly traumatic :change . Feel pulled to isolation/introspection as a rebirth has taken place. Enjoying solitude as never before.... (well most of the time, anyways) Wondering when the wheel will come around to a more comfortable place (cancer talking?) Transitions are never easy for me.... Also, did you mention on another string that you were trying to figure out how to post our chartwheels so we could look at each other's? Any success with that? I have decided to go with equal houses, does change things around considerably in my case, but does seem to fit me better. I'm so excited, its starting to come together now!! not sooo .... new every day!!! ~~~ THANK YOU SO MUCH ~~~ IP: Logged |

hi D I didn't see your reply untill just now, sorry You have had it rough, mostly doing without, Your Asc. is 6 Cancer the majority of you hard aspects to the Asc happened about 2 years (or should I say started) The square to your Sun happened last year (I felt that one) Mostly frustration, not getting your way, etc Aries women want what they want and we don't understand no very well, no means try harder. Were on Mercury right now, yours is in Taures in the 11th house (Grant Lewi) You are eye-minded; that is, you get your maximum sense-contact with the world through sight rather than through sound. You get more from reading a book than from hearing a lecture. The old silent movies are almost as good for you as talkies. Since what you see is important, you will always strive to make your surroundings as attractive as possible; and for this reason your home, or your office, will have some beauty about it even when it gets disorderly. Touch is well developed, and you visualize through your fingers - get an image in the dark of something touched, know how a fabric will look by feeling it - and conversely, how it will feel by looking at it. Taste and smell are fairly well-marked. You can shut out sound from your life and live calmly through a hurricane or the squawking of children that would drive others to distraction. You don't hear the sound of your voice accurately; and sometimes for this reason you sound other than how you feel. Study elocution, and learn to pay attention to what meets your ears. (Freda Edis) Mercury's placement in the eleventh house can indicate the type of person who needs to exercise his intellect as part of the larger human family. This house is often where people look for intellectual friendship and companionship. It indicates the kinds of associations they join and where they find or reject group identity. People with this placement may develop an interest in gathering knowledge by promoting groups with a common purpose. They may or may not be vociferous in their interests, fepending on how they use the aspects made to natal Mercury. Often they can be intellectually engaged in formulating ideas of their ideal soceity, which may reflect both their hopes and their social objectives. Mercury is anyway known for his friendliness, so he is likely to feel at home in the eleventh house. Aquarius has the ability to strengthen the bonds of humanity between people; and Mercury's connective principle helps that process. We see the more realistic extension of this principle in the myth of Prometheus. Prometheus, the light-bringer, was not to be entirely divorced from his shadow side; Hermes, the god of duality, sees to that. Aspects made by Mercury in this house to other planets will indicate how socially skilful people with this placement are. The sign on the house cusp will also influence the way in which the thinking qualities of this Mercury placement are expressed in group or friendly activities. Mercury with Scorpio on the cusp may have a tendency to keep its thoughts to itself unless it can be sure it will be really effective in any joint activities undertaken. Mercury with Aries on the cusp may produce many original ideas in groups, but dislike the slowness of the decision-making process. Mercury's real function in any group activities is to recognize what has been left aside and to attempt to incorporate it, where possible. People with an eleventh house Mercury may come to a realization that their effectiveness in groups and friendly activities is based on their own ability to communicate well. They then see that they need not project these qualities onto other people. There may be a desire to be open to the ideas put forward in groups which have a common and humanitarian purpose; but they may have to learn to integrate individual thought with feeling and action - otherwise, there could be a tendency to emphasize group ideas only. one more D. you also have Mercury opposite Netptune (interesting aspect) Mercury square or opposition Neptune (Charles Carter) This configuration usually indicates an astute and cunning type of person, capable of deep scheming and in fact hardly ever able to avoid some degree of deception, though not necessarily for evil purposes. Sometimes the deception is of a quite innocent order. It is probable that this characteristic arises from the delicate perceptions of the aspects, which enable the native to divine what others will do or try to do. It is employed in this way in the more positive types of birth chart. In negative types, the same sensitiveness leads to a retired life, often combined with an amiable disposition. Sometimes it leads to easy discouragement and lack of self-confidence, because the native is too thin-skinned and worries unduly. Sometimes the same sensitiveness causes fierce outbursts of resentful anger. Like all Neptunian aspects, it is not easy to say in what precise way the contact will manifest; much will depend on the rising sign. It is clear that lack of real self-confidence may easily induce a person to resort to deceit. Active imagination and the insight into motives that results from sensitive perceptions may be invaluable to a man of genius or even a man of practical sense; but in the case of persons of weak judgement and understanding the same things may lead to all kinds of foolish and morbid fancies.

Hi D, We're on Venus right now, yours is in Aries in the 11th conjunct the Sun. Very nice,Venus in Aries (Julia and Derek Parker) The individual is passionate, falling in love quickly, and will be demonstrative. Sexual fulfillment is of above-average importance, and an unco-operative partner will not be tolerated. Although an element of Arian selfishness may well cause problems occasionally, the individual wil be generous to a loved one, making sure there are many occasions of joint enjoyment. Here is a lively friend and energetic colleague. The attitude to money is extremely enterprising, but a risk-taking element can cause financial losses. Often, there is an enjoyable second source of income, but money can still slip through the fingers. If the Sun sign is Aries, here is a very passionate and enthusiastic partner who needs to maintain independence within a permanent relationship. Although selfish at times, he or she will be generous to loved ones, wanting them to enjoy the relationship. Rivalry can occur in friendship, with the subject needing to take the lead. Money is often mande from sidelines as well as a main source; and investment will be enjoyed. Impulse-buying can lead to cashflow problems. Venus in the 11th House (Howard Sasportas) A planet's house position instructs how the person can best approach life in that area. Those with Venus in the 11th, then, should encourage and develop a natural inclination to unite and co-operate with others in friendship and group situations. They have the capacity to bring positive influences into any group they join and receive the same back in return, although aspects to Venus will show if other things get in the way of this happening. Usually there will be a fondness for social life and cultural openings. If Venus is difficulty aspected by Jupiter or Neptune, too much energy may be dissipated in social situations, and greater discrimination is required. The image of the beloved and that which is beautiful might be projected onto a friend or a group. Some people with Venus in the 11th only feel beautiful if they are seen with and accepted by the 'right' group or crowd. There may be an eye to personal social advancement through choosing groups or friends who are helpful in achieving their goals and objectives in life. Unlike Neptune, Venus doesn't always put on her girdle for nothing back in return. For others, however, there is an interest in those groups or organizations which propose to better or improve life in some way. Venus in the 11th gives and expects quite a high standard of friendship or group involvement, and may be disappointed if others don't share or live up to these ideals. Sometimes, issues of rivalry and competitiveness may surface with friends or in group situations. Sun conjunct Venus (Haydn Paul) Only the conjunction, semi=sextile and semi-square aspects are astronomically possible between the Sun and Venus, as the maximum distance between these planets is 48 degrees. This conjunction conveys an optimistic and cheerful spirit, where you will greatly enjoy social company and the pleasures of life, so that easthetic and hedonistic activities are indulged to stimulate your sensual nature. Love and social relationships are highlighted, and you will be attracted to participate in the social whirl, circulating around your collection of friends, family and acquaintances. You feel it important to be liked by others, and this need may make you act in certain ways which gain the approval of people, so care may be required to ensure that you do not overly compromise your own feelings and thoughts in order to remain socially acceptable. There can be a dramatic quality to your style of self-presentation, perhaps emerging out of an artistic and creative sensitivity, and this will be employed to gain the attention of people; you prefer to leave your mark and need to feel recognised. While some may see you in a superficial light, this is not how you desire to be socially acknowledged. The recognition you are looking for is of your whole personality, your talents and qualities, and as you grow older you will prefer to enjoy the company of those who can appreciate you more fully. This may be through mutual interests in art, culture or the beauty of nature, because lying beneath any socialite veneer is your real appreciation of the harmony of life and nature which evokes that romantic and poetic spirit that inspires your perception of life and infuses a hidden desire for inner peace and integration. You enjoy quality in life, and will try to create a pleasing home environment which allows relaxation into domestic comforts and pleasures. You will attract others to your potent magnetic personality, and you are likely to experience a variety of relationships as a consequence of your romantic attitudes. You open easily to demonstrations of love and affection, and your heart can quickly melt. As a lover of life, a certain intensity will be present, as will the tides of love's joys and pains, but never attempt to turn off your developed love nature, or you may find that life rapidly loses its lustre and becomes grey, mundane and lifeless. Part of your role is to spread life-appreciation, enlivening others so that they too can become sincere lovers of life, and isn't that a task well worth pursuing? Some may find you 'too alive' or narcissistic, so you may need to be aware of others' reactions, and if they are correct in their evaluation of your self-centredness then some modification may be advised, so that you equally acknowledge their natures, qualities and personalities too. In conversations, the art of listening is as important as the art of communication, and your enthusiasms may require occasional toning down. You can bring positive benefits to those who become intimately close, through sharing your vitality, love and affections, and even if your relationships do not persist, you hope that those involved with you do not regret the time that has been shared. Changes will come through the expression of your heart and life enjoyment, and these may reshape your conscious identiy and self-image over time, so that more depth and insight begins to be unfolded. Others may turn to you for support and advice, wanting your flame to relight their own. Your pather of solar development is though the unifying love energies of Venus, so let these radiate ourwards into the world, touching and igniting the hearts of others. IP: Logged |
