Hi Lanny Yes it's gone very quiet. I've also been a bit hectic myself and got behind with my posting here. Sorry everyone I hope to be able to get the Aspects to Venus string started this weekend. I've also had workmen in the house (roof leak, boiler packed up etc) so it's hard to concentrate with all that going on - the house looks like a tornados hit it How are thing's with you Lanny? Any sign of work for you yet? Hope so I've had a few meetings but nothing definate as yet. I'm on hold re a potential business/work opportunity, as the guy's away for a couple of weeks but said he'd call me end August. Crossing my fingers re something coming of that. August can be a very quiet month - most people on holiday. Have a good weekend Sue IP: Logged |

Hey CatNo still no work. I've decided to take retirement and draw SSN. That and my Navy retirement will get me by. I'm working on something that I hope will work out fror me. I'm offering Quilt patterns and finsihed quilts with the person's natal chart on it. I think that having a one-of-a-kind quilt will catch on and interest people. I plan to offer various matterials, patterns, and completed quilts on my web site. What do you think of the idea? Lanny

Awesome idea! Why don't you try using eBay to auction them? That way, you can also drive some traffic to your Web site.------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." I would think that some of the Knowflakes might be interested in owning one. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." Rebecca Clark IP: Logged |

I'm assuming that I'm Andy. So here are the details. You can order the pattern or completed Quilt from my site (soon to be). You supply the birthdata, and I will provide the natal chart instructions and materials to place the planets, Signs, etc.. on your quilt. When the quilt is complete it will have your unique natal chart and other border decarations on it. It comes in twin, full, Queen, and King size. The color and type of material is based on your Sun sign. All quilts will be hand sowen, and of high quality. Thats it in a nut shell. I hoped to have the first quilt ready for the show in Oct in LA, but we're behind right now. Once I get some pictures of finished products, I'll send a flyer to anyone interested. Lanny IP: Logged |

Some people are less sophisticated, so maybe some general Sun Sign quilts (with Sun Sign symbols) would be a good idea also. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." If they are colorful and unique-looking, those things would sell like crazy on eBay! And you would only need twelve patterns that you could use over and over again. ------------------ "Never mentally imagine for another that which you would not want to experience for yourself, since the mental image you send out inevitably comes back to you." That's so...efficient, Randall! I had dinner last night with a Capricorn friend of mine and he is, of course, extremely hard-working...and when I mentioned it, he replied "It's not about work, it's about productivity." Anyway Lanny, sounds like a great idea. Can't wait to see them. IP: Logged |

I'm still researching that Randall. One thing for sure, completed handmade quilts are not cheap. A King would be several hundred, where a twin would be a hundred or so. Customised patterns would, of course, be fairly cheap. Lanny IP: Logged |

Hi All,Lanny your idea sounds great. And as an online merchant, a good website, digital camera, fast Internet connection, and hopefully a back-up computer are the basis to get you going. I work sometimes as a copyeditor and proofreader, so let me know if you'd like an extra eye to check your texts. It would be my pleasure. I haven't been in this Forum since the very end of May... I didn't feel as if I had the energy to devote to the course that it deserves. I've had a challenging summer internally, just as Uranus in Pisces and Saturn in Cancer connected (ha! I almost wrote "clobbered") with my natal Saturn and Moon... but I do hope to come back to start catching up on all the classes I've missed. Overall I'm fine and taking care of what needs to be dealt with. Hope everybody is well! Regards to All, Lunargirl IP: Logged |
