How would one know if the time of birth is correct? Do you look at the position of the sun in the chart? Does the top symbolize noon and the bottom where the IC is midnight?Thank you ------------------ What lies behind us, and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us ~Ralph Waldo Emerson IP: Logged |

charm,The chart should have the birth time listed on it, so you can easily verify the time. If you have a chart without the time printed on it and you want to make sure it is the correct chart (i.e., that the time wasn't entered incorrectly), you can redo the chart at www.astro.com and then compare the redone chart to the original chart. Hello TimLet's say for example someone tells you their birth time according to what their mom remembers but is not sure.Would the position of the sun give a clue as to whether the time is correct or not? Thank you IP: Logged |

charm,No, that wouldn't help. All you can do is try to rectify the chart. This means you look through the transits around the birth chart and try to match up major events with what is going on in the transit chart. This takes a LOT of time and can be very difficult. There are astrologers who do rectification...but they usually charge a lot of money because of all the time and effort rectifying takes. Rectified, Tim IP: Logged |

Sometrimes the time isn't listed on the hospital birth certificate, but it's actually recorded. ------------------ "Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia." Charles Schultz IP: Logged |
