Hi, Cat! Are you doing okay? I haven't seen you around other parts of the Board lately, so I'm just checking to make sure you're okay and to let you know that you are in my thoughts and missed.  ------------------

Hi Randall 
Thank you for thinking about me 
I'm having a difficult time at the moment. Today I went to the funeral of one of my girlfriends (we'd known each other for 3 years). She died of cancer last week. This is a different girlfriend to the one I've previously mentioned who also has terminal cancer (we've been friends for 17 years) and she has an appointment on Wednesday (that she's dreading) with her consultant which will tell her what her current diagnosis is. It's now been 3 and a half years since she was first diagnosed with cancer and at that time they "gave her" 3 and a half years to live. So a very sad time as my friends are my family.

Hi Everyone
Thank you all for your very kind words
Sorry for my delay in posting. I have been very worried about my other friend especially after having just attended one friend's funeral  We've had some good news though. Over the past 3 months her marker kept on doubling - actually in a period of 3 months it went from 200 to 3000! This indicated that the chemo wasn't working and that the cancer was growing at a very vigorous rate. Anyway she just had the results of her last test and her count has gone down to 1500 - so that's fantastic news.

Thank you Randall She's doing well at the moment and planning to come to London for Christmas - which is great as we now live over 200 miles away from each other. She's really looking forward to coming to London and I'm so looking forward to seeing her. Actually, she also has an appartment 10 minute walk away from me here in London but hasn't been able to come so often lately. It's been a month since we last saw each other although we do talk all the time on the phone. It will be great to spend Christmas together and we'll drink a glass of champagne in memory of my other friend who died two weeks ago
