I have a Venus/Pluto opposition in my chart. I feel the interpretation for it makes sense to me a lot..But it is within a 6 deg orb. Astro still counts it as an aspect .. should I count it or not? what orbs would you use for oppositions in a natal chart normally? Also Venus is right on my NN (11th) and Pluto is close to my SN (5th) IP: Logged |

Great question aries-chick,I've added an aspect orb key for you in The Major Aspects thread. Remember that with all aspects, the tighter (closer) the orb, the more intense the energy. I too have a wide orbed opposition between natal Venus and natal Neptune. They are 8 degrees apart. This is still considered an opposition in orb, as you'll see on the key, but it is wide. Nevertheless, still an opposition and still felt. Most likely though, not as strongly as it would be had the planets been within a closer orb of each other. That oppostion for me, also falls in the 5th and 11th houses. IP: Logged |

Thank you 26T.. I had a feeling it'd count. Someone who, well.. isn't an astrologer but thinks they are lol had a look at my chart and said "venus pluto opp?.. oh na I wouldn't even count THAT" .. which I thought was weird cause I can relate.Thx for adding the orbs bit in IP: Logged |
