Help me understand this. Libra is represented by scales in balance and if rising is the exact opposite of the natural house rulerships. So wouldn't every planet take on quality of it's opposite? For instance I have venus in pisces which falls in my 6th house which gives it qualities of virgo. My saturn in in capricorn but libra rising puts it in my 4th house which gives it qualities of cancer. This goes on for pretty much all the planets. So now here's what I'd really like to know. What happens in a synastry if one of the people has a Libra rising. If my 9th house mars is opposite his venus in sagitarrius, it seems like it would have aspects of both an opposition and a conjunction. My 6th house venus in opposition to his mars in virgo might work as both an opposition and a conjunction. What do you think? IP: Logged |

A chart would be easier,as the question is quite complex! ------------------ Passion, Lust, Desire. Check out my journal http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

That's a very interesting question. I had to read it twice to understand fully. And I felt compelled to respond because my bf's a libra rising and my sun is in pisces but my Venus fall's in 6th (too), but in Taurus (so I feel I probably have some similarity to you). One thought I have is that you may need to interpret from a different kind of natal chart. There's (what?) Platius (sp?) And many others kinds. When I look at my natal I thought my first house was (and always is) the same as my rising ..but I think because of the positioning/degree/orb of your planet your rising can be in 12th house. I don't know if that helps. As far as depicting a conjunction or opposition, I think you have to go by planet to planet (not house). So pisces Venus opposition Virgo mars. I think the conjunct house would add great chemestry to what you already have, making the opposition aspects more positive then negative. As far as house I interpret houses; It's like, the planet will operate by its ruler, but thrive in the house ruling enviornment. For example, you have a romantic, dreamy, mystical love nature in a general sense but you use that nature in a practical way, caring for society, daily living and support you partner in virgonian ways. This can be great! If your Venus was in another water house, lovers would probably have a hard time grasping you. I'd say opposite houses would balance out your planets drawbacks. And the way you opperate your planets (the house influence) will match well with your partners love nature, so lucky lucky you! Just my personal thoughts. IP: Logged |

Apparently my boyfriend has this in his natal chart too. First house in libra and so on. I wonder how it affects you in a natal way. Do you have an examples Jkitty?IP: Logged |

Yes, that's pretty much it, but it also balances out all the pluses, too, at least natally. Maybe less in a synastry. As for houses, the 1st house starts at the Ascendant, so for me that's 16 degrees, 53 minutes of Libra. So my 1st house is the last 1/2 of Libra and the 1st 1/2 of Scorpio, my 2nd is the last 1/2 of Scorpio and the 1st 1/2 of Saggy, etc. So not EVERY planet by sign is necessarily in its opposite by house, but most are.

Well, it feels like you're on a teeter-totter when you're young -- like you keep running back and forth from one side to the other. As you get older you feel more balanced and less extreme because you learn to stay closer to the middle. That is until someone comes into your life and upsets your balance! But the synastry part is what I'm really asking about. Since your BF is Libra rising, how does HE effect YOU? Do you have any planets in opposition with his? Do they sometimes feel more like a conjunction to you? Curious minds want to know! IP: Logged |

Omg the opposition! His venus and mars opposite my sun (but trine my venus and mars) His moon opposites my moon, asc, and Pluto Because he's on a lib/scorp cusp there's a weak opposition to my venus and jupiter. Which means my moon, asc, and Pluto already have a weak conj to his sun. Do they feel more like a conjunction? Hmm...Its hard to say because I always just assumed the other aspects made it more simple. I believe it makes this easier for sure! I think our most challenging aspects in our synestry is the squares to mercury. But otherwise I'd say there's amazing attraction, yet ease and content ..definitely feel complete WITH him not because we complete each other out of differences. Sorry had to think about it....yes feels like more conjunction for sure! Hopefully you have a lot of sextile in your synestry as well...I imagine that would help immensely. Since you won't be too alike or too different. IP: Logged |

Ahh, thanks for replying. Yes, I can see how the squares would be the hardest since the squares would remain squares no matter what.IP: Logged |
