Hi guys, I have quite a newbie question.

So my mercury is conjunct the MC 5.01 degrees but it falls in my 9th house.

What is the protocol for judging which house it affects?

I also have Uranus conjunct the MC by 1 degree but it's in the 10th and my chart ruler Neptune in the 10th. Sun and Saturn in the 9th.

I greatly appreciate any feedback!!!

A chart might help but, from what you wrote I would think it would affect your 10th house more than your 9th since it seems to barely be in your 9th.

I guess it might also depend on orbs. If there's a tighter orb to planets in the 9th vs. 10th.

If it's in your 9th, it's in your 9th. Because it conjuncts your MC, it will have some impact on your 10th as well, but will primarily exert its energies in the areas governed by the 9th house. So if mercury is in 9th, you probably think about things like travel, higher education and religion which are all 9th house things, but your communication style would also impact your career. If you're wondering what travel, higher ed and religion have to do with one another, remember way back when people would have to travel great distances to one of the few universities or go on religious pilgrimages, and it will make more sense.
