Hello All, I am totally NEW to this forum and also an ardent follower of VEDIC Astrology (Eastern) and learner too. I have been reading this forum for some time and I thought there were interesting comments which I would like to provide my clarifications. 1/ I see people are asking about certain points from their chart, example Mars in Taurus and how does this affect so and so and compares with other people. From my perspective, that is just a DATA-POINT and not the big picture as there could be so many variables. It is like this, one goes and have a lunch buffet and is full, is it fair to say that I had rice in the buffet and feel full versus eating so many food items in the buffet. That is how astrology is. 2/ Now another clarification: * Lets say there are 2 different people with Mars in Taurus, one person with Cancer as Ascendant and second person with Gemini as Ascendant. Even though Mars in Taurus is common for both, the person with cancer ascendant will have a stronger Mars than Gemini Ascendant and lot of things will change further. 3/ Furthermore, aspects and strength wiill totally vary the playing field. 4/ Additionally for gemini, mercury is the ruling planet and it also has another house which is Virgo. How are both the houses placed and which planets are there along with the house numbers change the game completely. 5/ I can keep on saying tons of points like this but it is also important to find the most powerful and predominating planet for each natal chart and then go from there as a starting point. Here are just my thoughts and I would love to have a good discussion and I am completely open to feedback. Thanks, S IP: Logged |
