I feel like saturn gets a bad rap and I am trying to figure this planet out. I feel sometimes saturn can contribute positive influences while at other times it can be very difficult. What do you think? This is one planet I am very confused about so I would appreciate some input. If saturn transits a house does it restrict it a whole lot? For example,I have a friend whose saturn transit is just leaving her 5th house and she has been single for years. Is this the work of saturn?IP: Logged |

Saturn is a teacher. He makes us grow up and mature, even if we don't want to. You can't afford being naive or irresponsible with Saturn. You have to face challenges in order to grow wiser and make better decisions in the future. From that POV, Saturn is both a blessing and a curse.. You can't live without Saturn because he represents structure and organisation. We need Saturn! Absolutely. But we should learn to make peace with the old man, and just accept our duties and do what we have to do. We must face life's challenges and demands in a mature, honest way. That's how you handle Saturn. By being active, doing things that we are supposed to do!Saturn brings challenges to the house it transits, yes. Sometimes it's about restriction, sometimes it's about inner or outer challenges that somehow create fear or frustration. We need to be patient and careful with the matters of that house. Eventually, we learn more about the things ruled by said house, and can handle them better! Our lives are ultimately changed and hopefully, improved. IP: Logged |

Yes Saturn is a teacher but it teaches you by identifing the weakest link in your life and it is these weak links or foundations that are tested. It can hurt alot. I think people who have strong saturn in their natal would know how to handle better the hard saturn transits. A person that is not used to all that heavy saturn energy would be more affected.IP: Logged |

If you have a good Saturn you will like him and vice/versa, he is a great 'malefic' teacher, depending how you want to look at him, if he is benefic you will have great control, structure, composure, discipline and power of sort.If he is malefic (say in pisces) you will struggle with reality, time, work ability + escapism ... In aries you will always be working at places you don't want to be ------------------ 1st House: Sagittarius Ascendant, Sagittarius Moon, Sagittarius Neptune. 2nd House: Uranus in Capricorn. 3rd House: Saturn in Aquarius. 5th House: Ketu in Aries. 9th House: Mars in Leo. 11th House: Venus + Rahu in Libra. 12TH HOUSE: Sun, Mercury, Jupiter, Pluto in Scorpio. Saturn is dominant planet in my natal chart. -0°16' Aquarius, in 10th House -square Mars, Mercury and Ascendant I have been unhappy for all of my short life. Also, I have always felt different than others. I don't know how to help myself. I can't even describe that feeling properly. Saturn is a planet like no other. Even in astronomy, it is considered unique among the planets. IP: Logged |

Depends on various things, but in my life, it's been a curse. It's in my 1st house and it makes harsh aspects to all my other planets, so it has delayed everything in my lifeIP: Logged |

Well if you have a heavy saturn influence, or it is afflicted, part of a t-square or something, you really have to work or nothing happens. I've learned with my saturn that it is really steady, if I don't work hard enough and harder than anyone else, nothing happens in my life. I have a very tight saturn opposition jupiter, and saturn square mercury. And saturn is also part of a t-square with mercury and jupiter. But my neptune is also part of that t-square, making me really lazy, but I can't afford that. I've learned that if I really really work hard and long (and I become so frustrated that I'm about to explode) I really learn and accomplish a lot. It is trough frustration, anger, disappointments, failure and tears that carry me on to the other side. So I know that everything I have to do is going to be hard, but that's just saturn, and I have to realize that! Saturn is about realizing what you have to do, you probably already know it and you probably don't wan't to do it, but someday you know you have to!IP: Logged |
