In my chart it looks like I almost have a Grand Cross between jupiter-moon-uranus and mars, but I have no aspect between jupiter and moon.
Would the grand cross still function, or would there be something missing because of this?

No, it's not a Grand Cross!

Which is good news, basically.

T-squares are more dynamic and prove lots of energy and the drive to overcome challenges.
