I just saw this post. My 7th house is in Taurus with Saturn in Taurus in it. I definitely like solid dependable responsible loyal men, and was attracted to older men when I was young. Was married a very very dependable down to earth Leo for many years.

I'm also Sag Sun and though I'm a bid irresponsible I'm not nearly as described and I tend to be intense rather than carefree, my guess is it's the scorpio influences i mentioned above and Chiron in my 5th.

Yeah, planets in the 7th house cusp can also add to what kind of character you are attracted to.

With Taurus on the 7th house cusp I wonder if your husband was financially well off? Or did you live in very plush sorroundings?

Taurus on the 7th house cusp also suggets a very passionate and sensual lover. Touching, kissing, caressing are very much what consitututes the nature of relationships.

I take it you two are no longer married?

Okay, I think my dreams are starting to manifest what it is that we've all been talking about on here because last night's was a doozy.

For whatever reason, the fictional comic book based character - Thor (played by the VERY attractive Chris Hemsworth)- found me to be ridiculously attractive and we wound up in bed together. But it was a bit confusing because there were no emotions backing up the physical reactions we had to each other. It was confusing.

Then, my dream got weirder and somehow it morphed into me becoming some girl back in centuries past and I was somehow the chosen "mate" of Count Dracula. I know - crazy subconscious, right? People were keeping me away from him, because they knew he was a vampire and would damn my soul, etc...But he didn't care. He wouldn't stop until he found me. Which he did. And then we wound up in bed together. But the strange part was, I felt more of a connection to this undead violent creature than I did with a fictitious god.

And then I realized the symbolism.

Thor (always will be Chris Hemsworth's face to me) was the warrior archetype. Strong, brave, noble, masculine, protective. These are all traits I do sincerely adore and would love for my spouse to have.

But in Dracula, we have the Scorpio element. Mysterious, taboo, forbidden, sensual, intelligent, fierce, and above all, everlasting love. That's what, in my mindset I suppose, I relate to the Scorpio symbol. Thank the gods that it was him and not Edward Cullen, right? (Ew - I'd take Jacob any day).

Now if I could just find a guy who was a combination of both these two made-up guys (even the good-looking parts, lol), that would be marvelous. I think it also has to do with my Mars in Cancer. From what I've read, women with this position tend to gravitate to who guys who are strong, traditionally masculine, and are very protective. In other words, someone who makes me feel secure and that I can come out of my 'shell.' Which, yeah, I do stay inside of 'it' most of the time.

Anybody else get what I'm saying or am I just plain nuts?

Also - you guys keep blowing me away with these posts! Seriously, I'm so happy and thrilled that I inspired so many conversations to go on at the same time. And also that new people got to meet each other! Kudos!

I'm thinking about doing a thread on how to detect bad karma in someone's natal chart. I swear, my life has been sucking so bad for the past seven years...I'm gonna need some serious therapy when I can afford it. lol

Sorry! I didn't see this before. Is there a place where we can see what posts we replied to or get a notification if someone replies on our threads?

My husband wasn't/isn't "well off" but he has a good job and we never had money issues/money fights. Though we are not rich and we don't live in "plush" surroundings, I'm quite comfortable. Though that's not going to last forever. We have to sell the house eventually. Looking back his father was "quite well off" so he grew up well. His mother used up all the money. No family money left.

LOL. Yes. I'm quite touch feel-ly (and those um other things... . Not everyone loves that. My ex wasn't very good with PDAs and he's more reserved about that. I was dating someone (a Taurus) until recently and he point that out to me, that I touch and kiss alot. Don't think he loved that.

Technically we are still married. But we split up at the beginning of the year. Saturn is now opposite my natal saturn. And if I'm right about his birth time, his natal saturn is in the 7th house. So saturn opposite his natal saturn too. I forgot what sign.

We were together 14 yrs. Damn Saturn! lol

Argh!I should have re-read the post. You did mention that you have Saturn in the 7th house. That definitely tones down a lot of what I said about Taurus in the 7th.

Instead of being "plush", you mate is likely to be conservative with money(Saturn).

There is a tendency for the partner to believe that money is hard to come by and , as a result, can be very frugal in spending.

Also, Saturn in 7th suggests an undemonstrative partner. It is difficult for them to express their emotions.

Also, I wanted to add this.

The ruler of your 7th house(Venus) is in the 1st house-suggesting that the partner often reflects themselves on you i.e They want to feel that you are a clear reflection of them.

They may look to have you as the "trophy" wife/girlfriend that they show off to their friends and say "Look.Look how great I'm doing that I am attracting this..." etc

You may play a pivotal role in extending their image and physical appearance (1st).

I'm was probably the more frugal one. The one that worried if we have enough savings, if we really needed to buy that, could we have gotten it less expensive, etc.

I was right about my ex's birth time! He has the same ascendent as me so his 7th is also Taurus and he has his Saturn there as well.

I think we both reflected on each other. Not in the trophy wife sense. But in the sense we felt very much proud of each other and our relationship. it meant a lot to both of us and was a strong part of both of our identities. From when we met we felt like we were made for each other.

His lack of touchy feely ness, not liking PDAs is probably about his Venus and Moon, right? To be honest, I haven't look too much at other things in his chart. He's lovely. But it's to late to figure out if we are compatible!! Hahaha.

One of my Ex's was very much about showing me off to his friends and he never really knew or cared very much about who I was or what I wanted. I was like an extension of him.

Don't get me wrong! I'm cute. But no one would look at me and thing "trophy wife". LOL. I don't look like that stereotype.

I get that, but its never really about looks but how the partner feels about you.

You could be the "ugliest" person in the world(not to say you are, oh no) but if your partner sees you as extremely sexy, there is no talking them out of it.

In my opinion,if you want to know more about you, look to the 1st house-5th house rulers and planets therein.

You want to know about your relation to the world outside of you(or your experience of it), look to 6th house-12th house, their respective rulers and the planets therein.

Your 7th house in Saturn gives you a clue to what kind of partner you are drawn to.

The ruler of the 7th house being in the 1st house means that the affairs of the 7th house(your partner) are brought to serve the first house(you).

So, you may find that your partner puts you first, that you lead the relationship in a very obvious way. The partner is agreeable and accommodating to your needs.

It could also suggests that they are proud of you(as you mentioned), that they think very highly of you(hence I mentioned the "trophy' thing). But all in all, it means that your partner will always consider you of central importance.

He may consult you before any decisions are made.

You may make decisions on his behalf.

You may lead(as I said) the relationship in a very obvious way.

If your ex-husband also has Taurus as his seventh house cusp, look to the house that his Venus is in to get an idea of what kind of partner he liked/what role his partner plays in the relationship.

Yes. This is definitely my next focus. I've been learning in rather "piece meal" way and to be honest the relationship thing has been the easiest to understand.

The more difficult stuff is in the crowded 1st & 2nd houses and their aspects to the scary (ok or maybe not o scary) 12th.

Thanks so much for your insight and comments. This site is now one of my favorites! Really fun.
