I don't really have many friends, but when I do make a new friend, it seems that I need to always choose between old and new ones. I want my new friends become friends with my old ones, so I introduce them to each other, and also when I mention 'I have a new friend!' my old friends usually want to meet her/him.
But it never works.

My old friends seems to dislike the qualities of my new ones, as they are kinda different from each other. I personally think I'm similar to them both, as I can relate very well to almost anyone, but then either my new/old friend points out something mean about my other friend, and then the sh*tstorm starts...

If I'm trying to make peace between them, it seems I always fail at it...

Both new friends and old friends want to be friends with me, but they don't want me to hang out with 'those others who insulted them.'

Sorry I may sound a bit confusing, English isn't my native language lol. I like learning new languages though.
