For example, I have Sun 23°57' in Cancer & Mars 6°36' Leo in my 7H ruled by Cancer
Two different energies are being expressed within the domain encompassing your basic personal identity, how you may appear physically, and experience the world first hand. Additionally because both these planets are in different signs, they will also be coloured quite differently.
For example, having your sun in your first house means you very deeply relate to your sun's cancerian qualities of a maternal, nurturing and emotionally functioning nature. You also won't have a lot of trouble expressing these qualities in your personality as they are just so intrinsically embedded not only in your external persona but at the core of your psyche.
On the other hand, having your mars here in the first house will make your personality quite abrasive for some to handle. Especially because your mars falls in Leo, you will have trouble going unnoticed. You are a very warm and welcoming individual, and this loyal and extroverted nature paired with your core qualities of a nurturing and mothering figure may come to represent a "mother hen" type of personality. If people mess with your or those you care deeply about, they will know all about it!

My boyfriend has his Sun 3°04' in Scorpio, Mercury 23°12' in Libra and Mars 24°12' Libra all in 12H LibraHe was asking me how to describe how the aspects play out in his 12H and I just couldn't explain very well to him how this works...
Anyone care to share how they analyze houses with multiple planets, please?
Having these three personal planets fall in the twelfth house may indicate that the individual drives that each if these bodies represent have a strong influence on his subconscious but are not quite so dominant in the conscious day to day sphere of life - well not to him, at the very least.
The sun in the twelfth can indicate that he may have trouble innately feeling who he is as a person. What he is at the very core of his being. Sometimes the lack of a "father figure" or otherwise dominant paternal figure is his life was absent, leaving him as a child feeling somewhat in the unknown about what it is he is, what he stands for, what and why he is here on this earth. He doesn't know or doesn't directly connect with what it is he is.
The Scorpio flavouring here connects this lack of self understanding to the darker, hidden and primal side of his nature. Maybe he doesn't understand what it is he is meant to be searching for but somehow knows deep down that there is indeed something that needs unearthing. That search is related to himself and ultimately bringing his twelfth house sun into the light of the first, which will be a journey he will be on for this whole lifetime. He is discovering the very core of his being. The deepest, darkest and most primal depths of his psyche. He may feel awkward with this part of himself, but he knows he needs to, he knows he has to. That's the tenacity inherent in the Scorpio energy.
The influence of his mercury and mars placed here also relate to discovery, but a very different kind with quite a different flavour.
These two bodies represent the most basic personal functions of the human psyche. Thinking and communicating and the basic will and drive of the soul in question. Having both these functions in the twelfth house, like the sun, indicates a lack of conscious understanding or perhaps an awkwardness in harnessing the energies of these functions, which are in this case of a libran quality. Mercury functions quite happily in libra, although there can be a tendency to overcompensate due to the excess amount of the air element. Mars in libra on the other hand adds and extra a mouth of uncomfortability.
He has the power to be quite and eloquent and charming communicator, and out of the blue he will display these qualities with such confidence he won't even know what just happened. They are dormant qualities he has perhaps carried over from a previous lifetime, but is unsure of unaware of how to use th. Again, like the sun, he will spend this lifetime bringing these inherent qualities into the light of the first house. This placement, if plenty of introspection is allowed, can produce a very intellectual and socially intuitive mind. Literature, linguistics, anthropology, counselling and therapy are all topics connected here and he possesses subconscious gifts to excel in these specific areas, if only he learnt to nurture them, ie by keeping a journal and introspection.
The mars function here is in a bit of a pickle. Firstly it is in the sign of ots detriment and in the deepest eatery house there is. The feiry nature of mars struggles to express itself, and so your boyfriend may have trouble expressing the most simple and basic of his needs and wants. He will be incredibly passive by nature, and linked with both his sun and mercury here, his early life will have made him victim to the impressions of others. Struggles with his identity, what he thinks in regards to opinions and basic ideals as well as what he wants would have been, and probably still are to extent, present. Again, a lot of this lifetime for your boyfriend will be about bringing these hidden and dormant functions into the light of his first house.
