Topic: help to guess the rising sign

Okay so here is my step sister, the time of her birth is unknown, and I can't possibly figure out her rising sign. Any guess ?
She's quite shy, modest, quiet but very funny and playful with people she knows well, and can be susceptible, easily depressed...
She's a Virgo sun, capricorn moon.

I would say Libra and with quite a bit of surety, although one can never be totally certain by a pic. That is my opinion, anyway.------------------

Libra rising you think? Did you deduce this from the photos, or the description, or both?
I just can't understand her, she's always so nice and polite to me but still I'm under the impression that she really doesn't like me. She's a good actress so maybe Gemini... But she's also a dreamer and sometimes act like a typical Pisces so I don't know...
I'm really not an expert on this though.

She looks like a lion to me. Does no on in the family give you a clue as to the time of day? Lunch? Late at night? How do her friends describe her? The depression thing is not related to the rising sign I don't think. Except maybe the dramatic aspect of the Leo asc. They can be up and down in a (somewhat) dramatic way. But that is not real depression.

For the time of birth, it's complicated. I spare you the details, but my father says that she was born under chaotic circumstances, the time of her birth recorded is inaccurate. So I have absolutely no clue of when she was born, whether it was in the morning, the afternoon...

I don't know if Venus has an influence on her looks. My Asc and venus are the same and I think I do look like my Asc which is Scorpio. But you are right she could be a Libra Asc as Ami said with the lion look coming from her Venus. Libra Asc come off more shy than a Leo Asc even though Virgo suns with Leo Asc can still be shy. Ami is much more experienced though.
Even if her birth circumstances were "difficult" do they not know at all the time of day? Even night vs day will help you at least by eliminating 1/2 the asc. Anyway, the other way you can do this is by seeing which planet placement fit best with her life. It's never going to be 100% actuate though. And really, it would be much more accurate if she did this herself. What are some of her aspects? Venus/Saturn can make people not think they are pretty, even though she is really beautiful. There is something deeper with her. Check the asteroid Dejanira. I think it is 57.------------------

No I'm afraid I really don't know anything about her time of birth. Even my father (who is the only relative we have in common) wasn't here, and her mother was never around... She wasn't born under "proper" conditions, not in a hospital.
My point in asking about her rising sign is so that I can come up with a better chart, and understand her better.
As for her aspects, I'm not sure which one are relevant, since I'm such a novice in astrology. But she has Venus Conjuct Jupiter and Venus Square Pluto. quote:

Either Leo or sagittarius rising.personally i would say sagittarius.
she looks like taylor swift, Elisha Cuthbert, and my friend who is a cancer sun taurus moon sagittarius rising. to me those blank pouty playful expressions say sagittarius rather than leo. i know a sagittarius sun with black hair who makes faces like that and have noticed it in other sagittariuses

Late 2nd decan Cancer Rising - moon in 7th, in aspect to Sun and Saturn ( sxt?)- probably asc square Venus ... Wonder if she has domicile Mercury to Sun as well, maybe the combust? Mercury and Sun may both aspect Neptune (trine) - sounds like it at least. Anyway, that's my guess.

i second the cancer rising.
i had felt that she was cancer rising from the first pic but then thought she seemed extroverted. then i read your personality description of her..... astrotheme always used to say taylor swift has cancer rising and from seeing the way taylor talks in videos i strongly feel its cancer rising not leo. and elisha cuthbert i feel could be capricorn rising..i just dont feel the leo rising for her leo risings are so sunny and seem so happy

my first choice would be libra ascendant some of her features reminds me of my gf and shes a libra rising second choice cancer rising also she cant be a sagittarius ascendant since you said shes insecure and not a optimistic person if she had sag ascendant she would give off that happy optimistic nature before anything else not after you get to know her i have jupiter trine my ascendant and it gives me a happy outlook on alot of things and sag rising would be even stronger i mainly get a watery/ airy feel from those picsIP: Logged |

Do this, my Friend. Put the orbs for all the Deja aspects. The orbs is the distance. For example, if my Sun is 28 Gemini and my Mercury is 21 Gemini, I have a 7 degree orb.I will try to help you with this. Well, I personally think she's very virgoish. But it's probably because I know it's her sun sign. She'as also moody, like she'll suddenly be very enthusiastic and then her energy will be completely blown in a second. I don't see her as a Leo, she's too modest and withdrawn. I'm a Sagitarrius rising and I don't feel any Sag from her. I don't think she's a fire ascendant but again, I'm really not an expert.

Moody=cancer rising. So go with that. If shes modest and reserved then shes definitely not a fire rising------------------

Yeah, maybe you're right. I'm a cancer myself, but she's "colder", more controlled, never really emotional, but that's probably the virgo in her.
She's really good at art though, I heard this was a Libra trait. She works in fashion too.
