I hope this is the right discussion board. I have a NN/SN square sun and NN/SN sextile(trine) sun in synastry. I know sun/node is supposed to mean uneven rels such as parent/child, authority/servant but what does it mean if its a dw? I know the square is stronger than the sextile but it must mean something its both ways.

It doesn't necessarily imply an uneven relationship. Can you post the signs and the degrees they are at?

The planetary rulers of the Nodes are also significant in natal and synastry.
e.g. If you have a Taurus NN/Scorpio SN - it would be important to check the placement of Venus (ruling Taurus) and Pluto (ruling Scorpio) - and note the way they are aspected in the synastry.

About Nodal aspects.. some astrologers only count conjunctions and/or other hard aspects to the Nodes. Personally I think the Nodes are very karmic and any *close* aspects (1 deg orb) .. are very important. The orb is the main thing. If the orb on your trine/sextile is 0'.. and the orb on the squares is 4'.. I would see the trine/sextile as more significant in your relationship dynamics.
