I've read that the ascendant sign is the most important aspect of astrology and shows how you appear to others. My ascendant sign is Gemini 0 degrees, but it just doesn't describe me at all. The typical Gemini rising is described as someone who is extroverted, nosy, talkative, adaptable, well-informed about subjects, versatile, outgoing, prefers to start conversations, enjoy working with groups, likes gossip, and excels at multi-tasking. None of this resonates with me or describes me. I'm actually the complete opposite of all those things and I'm quite introverted. I've asked people I know if I exhibit any of those traits and they all agree that I don't.
I'm trying to understand why things are not adding up. Any comments, thoughts or suggestions about this ascendant issue would be much appreciated. IP: Logged |

Welcome Jungle I have a hard time reading that style of chart. I can read Astro.com, if you want to try that or maybe someone else can look at this. ------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I can relate totally to mine, too. Jungle, you can put your chart up with an AStro.com style, if you would like and I will take a look.------------------ Want To Ask Any Question About Bible Prophecy? Go For it. It is Free, of course. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

You are so close to the Cusp.Have you read the Taurus Rising to compare? Also you have Jupiter right there. Gosh, Moon in Cancer is going to enclose you as well, especially with Saturn/Neptune directly Opposite. If they flubbed the time even a bit, that would change things. IP: Logged |

Don't go solely on descriptions. Look to the transits to to see if they correlate with the Asc position. When transiting planets aspect the cusp of your 1st house, it usually signals new beginnings and decisions made. When a transiting planet aspects the 10th house, it usually signals the height of something or some public interaction. Neptune is transiting Pisces right now and therefore should be affecting your 4th house. Neptune represents "wipe outs, "confusion, "doubt" and losing ones direction etc. It could also signal the awareness of spiritual goals and the importance of personal creative talents. Have there been changes in or around the home that are related to the living environment/career? Maybe you or one of your parents lost their job/has taken up a creative position at the company? Perhaps a move to a different location? By the sea or a different country?Perhaps even a new environment that makes you feel more and more isolated from those that you have strong emotional bonds with? There must be something happening as Neptune sits on one of the angles for someone who has Gemini Asc and Neptune is a very slow moving planet and so, its effects, are thorough. If nothing noteworthy has happened with you /your parents and everything is the same, your birth time may be off- and you may need to have it rectified by a professional astrologer(if you want to). Sometimes there are other planets that affect the dominion of the Asc; say having Saturn/Moon in the 1st house could make one a far more inhibited Gemini Asc. When the Gemini Asc enjoys an opposition to Neptune/Pluto, this could inhibit Mercury's "devil may care" style to one that is more intuitive and tapped into emotional vibrations. But the Neptune transits would still affect the individual right now-because they are hitting an angle(4th). There would still be an area of life where the Gemini Asc is experiencing doubt, confusion, feelings of being lost, being "out of alignment" or seeking spiritual answers to questions that conventional study does not begin to answer. I second about making sure your birth time is correct. I thought for the longest time that I was a Scorpio Rising. Then my father told me that he found my birth certificate and the birth time was 10mins off...it changed it to a Sag Rising! I had a minor identity crisis, but then now the Sag Rising description makes waaay more sense to me. It fits me way better, and Sag Risings are the best anyway IP: Logged |
