 He's 15. Sweet sweet kid. He describes himself as 'peaceful and kind' and I don't think anyone would dispute that. He's brilliant in computers, math and band. He has a really difficult time in English, reading comprehension and History due to a learning disability and attention issues. He is very shy but will open up quite a bit when he gets to know someone - especially if they have something in common. He has difficulties with change. Changing classes, changing activities in classes, etc. It makes him easily confused so he'll sometime tune out. He's likely going to be diagnosed with Asperger's. IP: Logged |

He was a late talker. He wasn't really saying more than a couple words when he was 3. He had a speech therapist that worked with him for 2 years in preschool. She didn't believe me when I told her he spoke more at home because he wouldn't say a single word to her. She didn't think he could say "No".. let alone form a sentence. Finally, after working with him for so long, one day she was sitting with him and trying to get him to play with a doll. He was about 4 1/2 years old. He didn't want to but she was persistent. I guess he had enough and the first thing he ever said to her was "No, thank you. I don't want to play with the doll." She said she about fell out of her chair. That's how he is. He surprises us. When he was 5 years old he was with me and out of nowhere he pointed at a tree and said "Mom! The circumference of that tree is really large!" He remembers things like license plate numbers from cars we had 10 years ago, old addresses, etc. I suppose that's why he's good in math.

I see some classic things I see in Asbergers. There is low air--ability to communicate easily.
Combined with this is a close Merc/Sun combust which makes it hard to detach from one's own feelings/thoughts and you kind of cycle in yourself.------------------

Chiron in the 8th may add to this as if is one of the harder Chirons in my opinion. The person may feel he has to be "better than his primal impulses" so it can make a person who feels he has to be "above being human".------------------

Saturn conj Venus exact--may feel he has to be perfect in order to be loved.He has several very hard kind of bottleneck positions where he may feel totally pent up and his communication flow is not easy. I have seen this picture in Asp. charts.

I can see that. When he is reprimanded for something he often asks if I still love him.He did that more often when he was a little younger. I had several long talks with him to enforce the fact that just because he makes a mistake or doesn't do something he should doesn't mean I'd ever stop loving him. Also, let him know with certainty that even people that love each other very much have disagreements and they still love each other.

Lets see some ways out for him. He has Mars in Scorpio which is a dynamic and charismatic placement and also, one that can set goals and follow through. He has Jupiter and the Sun conj the ASC. He should have a natural self confidence to some degree. The Jupiter should give him a feel good vibe that makes the person popular. ------------------

His NN in the 5th. Try to find the best creative outlet for him, as I am sure you have. This could be his coping too and a place he could excel i.e music, acting, art etc------------------

He does love his trombone and music! He doesn't even have to practice and he makes easy A's in one of the best high school music programs in the country.He's also shown a knack for art, though he doesn't do enough of it really. I'd like to foster more of that. It'll be easier when we move and I'm a stay at home mom for a year or two. IP: Logged |

That is lovely MW. My first b/f had a learning disability. His parents encouraged music and now he is a member of the symphony in Israel. He is a professor of Music, too. He is an amazing person but music allowed him to shine and his parents were wise enough to know this. Your son is fortunate to have you for a parent!IP: Logged |
