Both Jupiter and Venus have descriptions of being overindulgent. So how are they different in the way that they indulge?Jupiter can be more excessive I suppose, so over drinking, overeating, over gambling. But Venus can overeat as well? What is the real difference? IP: Logged |

This is an interesting question. In order to find the solution, I would have to look to the signs that the respective planets rule, which in this case are Sagittarius and Taurus + Libra. Libra makes this whole thing very difficult. This may be a ridiculous generalization, but it's possible that in their attempts to balance their weight, they may end up either too skinny or hold too much weight? It sounds funny, but it's possible. My older sister is a Libra, and she is a bit bigger than most women typically are. Also, Taureans tend to have issues dealing with weight. My younger sister has it and so does my Taurus friend; they indulge in food! This connection can be easily made because Taurus is a materialistic sign, and since food is materialistic, they tend to indulge in it lol. As for Sag, well, they seem to only gain weight when they are much older. There have been lots of Sagittarius that I've known with weight problems, but I've noticed that it has tended to result in a large gut rather than fat arms and legs and etc. Therefore, I think that Venus may just do it on purpose whereas Jupiter is natural. Jupiter is the planet of expansion after all, and Venus when it comes to food can be indulgence since Venus = Love and Love + Food = weight issues. That's my analysis at least. This would've been a good question to ask in Astrology 2.0 IP: Logged |

Yes I agree w/ everything you said. But do you think Jupiter would be more "compulsive" with their desires? But Venus does it out of seeking pleasure? But then again, Jupiter also seeks pleasure to a certain extent too...lol this is why I get confused. I will post it in 2.0 right now IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter in my first with a Scorpio Asc, and I've been chubby my entire life until these past two years. Needless to say, I enjoy me some food. It's gotta be sweet, savoury, and there's got to be dessert involved, too. I don't like eating the same things over and over again. Meals or food that I've never had/tried before are always alluring to me. Yeah, food is nice. LolIP: Logged | |
