I'm looking at my mom's chart and wanted to see where to look for information on her son in-law aka whomever my future husband ends up being. What house do I look at in her chart?IP: Logged |

I'm not exactly sure what the answer would be, but if I were to take a guess I would say the 5th house since it's naturally associated with children. You should probably do some research and see if her fifth house plays out in her son-in-law's chart. Perhaps find the charts of those in your family that do have son or daughter-in-laws and see how their fifth hows plays out in the son/daughter-in-law's charts. ------------------ Scorpio Ascendant Aquarius Sun in 4th Gemini Moon in 8th Check out my blog ya'll: www.electrodgxtalks.wordpress.com IP: Logged |

Extended Family falls in the Mercury, 3H ruler or 3 house cusp domain but come to think of it in-laws is something that happens after marriage so perhaps it should be represented by a house after the 7H such as the 9H which is the opposite of the 3H axis so that makes sense and fits in nicely. The 3H represents your extended family connected to your family of origin then the 9H which rules law and is after the 7H could represent extended family after marriage or family you inherit from marriage (in-laws). I will add this quote I found in another forum: "There may be (obviously) some historical and cultural differences that have created the seeming differences of rulership over the same thing, in this case in-laws. The 9th rules long distance, as well as law itself (or the practicing of law). So, it is possible that in some culture (I'm not familiar with sorry to say for the lack of any precise reference) in-laws were generally very distant, foreign and possibly in some position to execute the law or family laws of some sort. Now, however, since this is no longer the cultural norm, in-laws simply function as legal family members of your spouse. In the ancient past, this relationship might have been vastly different than it is today." IP: Logged |

Unfortunately I only have the accurate birth time from my mom. My dad and my grandparents that are living don't have accurate birth times >.<. IP: Logged |

Do I use whole houses or should I use Placidus? She's a Cancer rising like me and if I use whole house then we both have Pisces on the 9th house, but if I use Placidus we both have Aquarius on our 8th and intercepted (I think that's the right word) on our 9th.

Interesting though that you mention the 3rd and 9th. There was someone that I dated that I really felt connected to who is a Virgo (her 3rd house) and has Pisces on his 7th house (her 9th house). IP: Logged |
