I think it is 4th House for the Mother and 10th House for the father. Even the rulers can say so: Moon for the mother and Saturn was a classic planet for the father IP: Logged |

I really think you have to see this through the polarity of the ENERGY, not the GENDER. It is about yin/yang, not male/female. The yang parent relates to the 10th, the yin to the 4th. This is the reason for the conflicting personal stories.I was convinced my father would pass away this Jan/Feb because of cookbook astrological interpretations. Nope, it was my mother - the more dominant, yang parent. She also shows up more in my birth chart related to the yang energies, while my very passive father's Libra stellium is in my 4th house. Not viewing it through a binary gendered lens also helps us incorporate same sex and nonbinary couples. I would love to see astrology books and website rewritten with the language of yin/yang or passive/dominant rather than all the gendered stuff. It is not necessarily accurate. IP: Logged |

I agree with sashavittoria, I’ve read somewhere that the parent who was the most nurturing is associated with your 4th house. I can clearly see my father being represented by my 10th house because my Mars conjunct Saturn is located there and my father had moods! Aries Moon and Mars square Pluto. My mother was very heavy in Air, with a Gemini and Libra stellium. She was nurturing but had her own mental health issues to deal with. My Moon is square Mercury and Neptune. I think my grandmothers, especially my mother’s mother, heavily influenced my 4th house. I felt safest with her and my IC is in Capricorn and she was a Capricorn Sun. I also had a special bond with my father’s mother, a Capricorn Moon.IP: Logged |
