I have a huge attraction to water signs even though I’m not compatible with them (by sun sign at least.) My closest friend is a Cancer with a Leo moon, but another good friend of mine, one who probably understands me best, is a Scorpio with a Pisces moon.

For me Moon-Moon compatibility matters A LOT. Most of my closest friends' Moons conjunct/trine/sextile my Moon, regardless of our Sun-Sun/Sun-Moon match. Compatible moon signs help you to understand each others' emotions well which is important in any kind of close relationship. You said that your Pisces Moon friend understands you the best which is the best testimony.

Sure, you can also form close bonds with people of incompatible moons (e.g. I've a Sag Moon and one of my closest friends has a Virgo Moon). We have Sun-Moon trine/sextile DW which is probably why we get along so well... we did a lot of things together, always have fun..etc, but when it comes to what we find important/valued, we don't sync. Her Virgo Moon fuss over small things... my Sag Moon doesn't give 2 hoots... my Sag Moon likes to wing it...her Virgo Moon needs a plan... She's skeptical while I have blind faith...

Another guy I know we also have Sun-Moon compatibility DW but incompatible moon signs (quincunx). Again we get along very well...always have fun, etc but deep down we know we don't gel when it comes to important matters. He was seeing this other gal with whom he has incompatible moons. They dated for a while but broke off because he says they're too "different" in terms of rhythm. They also have Sun-Moon compatibility (She's Capricorn Sun, Aries Moon. He's Aqua Sun, Taurus Moon) yet it didn't work out for them. My bestie (Sag Moon) and her bf (Pisces Moon)...she says he doesn't understand her, but with her ex-husband (Libra Moon) she says he understands her well.

My pisces moon friend sees a side of me that almost no one else does. Even though my moon is in Cancer, and I am relatively sensitive, next to nobody knows that. I hardly wear my emotions on my sleeve. But it’s like my Pisces friend always knows, and I consider her one of my most supportive and reliable friends. She notices and sees a part of me that people I’ve known twice as longer have never seen.

I have Sag Sun/Can Moon. I don't share ur attraction to water signs as friends. I have dated quite a lot air signs.

My best friend is Aqua Sun/Pisces Moon.

I realise that we both have Mercury/Pluto close to exact in our Draco-natal comparison charts. Mine is exact 0.00 and his has an orb of 0.05.

It makes sense. Our conversations are DEEP!

With that being said however,there is a strong bond that seems to exist with my Cancer Moon and Pisces Moon people. A select few Scorpio Moon people too.

I think the Pisces Moon may "soften" the Scorpio Sun in your friends case. I had a friend in varsity whom i shared a flat with; he had Scorpio Sun with Pisces Moon.

Leos are kinda self-centred because they want all spotlights on them. My ex-bf is a Leo Moon (in fact, he has a Leo stellium!). When we were together, it was always about HIM HIM HIM.

He was externally no nonsense mean type of person. But we got on amazingly well. Couldn't figure out why. Till i got his chart and saw we have a nice Moon-Moon exact trine.
