This is a powerful contact, strong attraction and a fated meeting. Cupido/Venus is mutual attraction and infatuation. I'd say Cupido finds Venus very attractive on a physical level. ------------------

Here, no idea what it ultimately means thoughNatal My Cupido in Scorpio conj Sun (ruler of 5th) and square Asc in the 4th house. His Cupido in Scorpio in the 8th house conj his Venus (ruler of 2nd). Synastry Cupido conj Cupido conj his Venus conj my Sun his Cupido square my Asc The curious moment is that Sun is my Asc ruler, so his Cupido square my Asc yet conj its ruler. All of this overlaying his 8th house and my 4th. IP: Logged |

Very nice placements! Why hopeless though? Both the GT, and Cupido opp Aphrodite/Kaali are awesome. ------------------

First, make sure there's no Yod there, because if it is, it will have a more complex meaning. ------------------

The rock was discovered and named by German scientist Franz Kaiser in 1913. He named the rock Cupido for the same reason he named 20 other asteroids he discovered- He picked the name out of a hat. He named another asteroid after a friend of his too.You guys are attributing all the powers this rock supposedly has based on a random name a scientist gave it. IP: Logged |

They don't base it of the name only, they look at the discovery chart of the object to interpret how it will play out. When Cupido was discovered the sky had: Sun in Libra, Moon in Cancer conjunct Neptune Mercury in Libra Venus in Leo Mars in Cancer Conjunct Pluto! opposite Jupiter I have met a lot of sun in libra with moon in cancer folks and they make me melt, usually super thoughtful and sweet, I feel this is in line with the Cupido theme, add the idealism and ability to love of moon conjunct neptune as neptune is the higher octave of venus, Moon conjunct neptune is also easily attuned to others, sensing their needs and with moon in cancer at home that is mega attunement powers. Add the considerate nature of sun in libra, then add that venus in leo is often very romantic and when you factor in that moon conjunct neptune we are talking about someone deeply romantic, larger than life romances, then add that mars conjunct pluto is a highly sexual aspect but that is deeper than just sex bc pluto is involved, is a deeply sexually binding aspect IME when it plays out in composite charts and there are other love stuff aspects around. Even in a non sexual relationship, it translates as a lot of passionate love for the other. I mean sun in libra with moon in cancer conjunct neptune and venus in leo is someone that knows how to sweep you off your feet like only cupido can. This is the energy of someone that is good at courting bc they are romantic naturally and very attuned to other's needs, wanting to make others feel comfortable and important. Then with mars conjunct pluto opposite jupiter we have a strong sexual drive and a strong sexual attraction and with the placements mentioned earlier the ability to seduce someone and then give them a wonderful sexual experience. The guy I am seeing now has Cupido conjunct Pluto both exact on his AC! OH god! he can sweep you of your feet allright, he is completely unaware of this I feel though. My ex had moon conjunct cupido and same thing, he will sweep you off your feet. I have noticed when men have cupido strongly featured in their chart they are quite the romantics and can sweep you of your feet. This brings us to observation, you see a statistically significant pattern involving cupido and then it gets a reputation. Is not just that someone named an object Cupido, NO. There is a lot more that goes into it such as the discovery chart and gathering data over time that supports interpretation through observation. IP: Logged |

Linda would say the names are not actually random, but they come from the collective unconscious.IP: Logged |
