It's been working very well for me. I'm the Venus and my wife is Mars. Venus Opposite Mars. We've just had our happy 19th wedding anniversary. IP: Logged |

His Leo-venus opp. my Aqua-Mars but then there was also his Scorp-mars conjunct my Scorp-Moon... so! (yeayea.. my Moon/Mars square with his Venus/Mars square) Ok, maybe not the right 'timing' for a relationship but it changed my life for worse and better. For worse because I can't find it again and I only seem to attract the watered-down versions of it and for better as I wouldn't want to have missed it for ANYTHING in the world.. simply knowing that such an experience can exist with the chance to ever find it again...!? Because of the extreme high intensity prob. not very relationship-prone.. but I will not rest before I find another V-M square in these signs linked ofcourse with my Moon/Mars to kiss with.. And.. I did find one recently! But.. I've not kissed yet... so you'll have to wait for the result Watch out what you wish for..??
Moon-Mars is WAY more intense!! lol..at least from my personal experience ------------------ **STUDENT 4 LIFE** Tarot Readings by Me Facebook - ReadingsbyAzul Baby Yaga <3 Me - Virgo Sun. Venus opposite mars isn't usually attributed to a lack of timing but rather push/pull attraction which can be very powerful. My guess that timing could come mars square saturn natal or any hard venus uranus conenction. IP: Logged |

For me it was a combination of push pull and timing. I was the venus he was the mars, he would pursue and then back off and then i would pursue. And then he was in the mood and then i wasn't in the mood and then he was in the mood and then i wasn't. But there was definitely sexual chemistry. Also we are very competitive with each other. Its a very cat and mouse type of game.IP: Logged |

Bump....I'm wondering about a chart I'm looking at...his Venus opposes her Mars. She did initiate by going up to him and started a conversation and let him know she wanted him to take her out. But after that he was the one perusing her. I'm wondering if this is because his scorp Mars falls on her NN? His Mars is semi-sextile her Venus, not that it makes a huge impact but I know it makes some impact. IP: Logged |

^^ Thank you, Gabby.I was part of a heated discussion about this very aspect in your very situation. Your story confirms what Mir and I was saying - Mars initiates, but it is Venus who pursues the relationship. The assumption being that there will be a relationship and not a hookup/tryst/fling. Reasoning: Mars is action/impulse so he's expected to make the first move. Venus is love/romance/bonding, so she will put in the effort to make a relationship happen. True, everyone has relating needs, and every planet in a chart will be engaged in a synastry. However, in cases where Venus & Mars are emphasized- IP: Logged |

I have mars-Venus conjunction in Aries which opposites my man's Mars and Venus in Libra (his are not conjunct tho). I initiated and he kept us going. I'm impulsive so he set my pace and I had to learn to adjust to his rhythm! I think opposition is nice - he admires me a lot for who I am and I admire him back the same way IP: Logged |

The timing is not the issue here; you are compelled to chase this guy but guys don't like girls who pursue them. You are coming off as being very aggressive to him. It doesn't mean you should change yourself; he's just not the right one for you.
Sorry if this is off topic or a late comment... Some guys love being persued if you do it in a way they find appropriate. Do it in the style his moon or maybe his Venus wants and you're good to go. Just be prepared to let his mars take over when its time.

I'm the Mars in our synastry and it opposes his Venus. I chase him, all right. He jokingly calls me "the rapist". He loves it, thou ( Mars in Libra). If I don't chase him, he starts to freak out that I am loosing my interest. On the other side, His Mars in Libra is on my Venus in Libra, and his Mars is in my 7th house - he is very pushy and forward with me once we change gears.Mars opposite Venus in synastry would always make the Mars person being the chaser. Trust me, men love to be sought after, and who doesn't.. I am generally A Chaser myself anyway ( my Mars in Leo square Saturn, likes to be in control). I like to pick my preys, not the other way around. IP: Logged |

Reviving this thread after doing a bit of digging into my past. The venus-mars opposition is not the strongest sexual attraction aspect. Either that, or it really does depend on the rest of the synastry. I had an 8-month "experiment" with a guy during college. My cousin introduced us. He was her boyfriend's friend. Although he was fairly attractive, i wasn't really attracted. I mean I WAS.. but not in a sexual way, per sé. Looking back, it was a very weird connection and time in my life in general. ANYWAY, including, an almost exact Venus-Mars opposition (his mars, my Venus) at 37 degrees separating, we had a TON of other "attraction" aspects that should've enhanced the one.. but the sex was basically nonexistent and he couldn't even "get it up". Everything felt forced and i was repulsed most of the time. We had: Sun opposite NN (3 seconds from exact) Sun trine Sun (loose; 8 degrees) Sun conjunct ASC (almost exact) Moon opposite Venus (almost exact) Moon square mars (almost exact) Moon trine Venus (1 degree) Venus conjunct Pluto (almost exact) Venus sextile Neptune (Exact) ASC opposite ASC (loose; 8 degrees) Mars quincunx mars (almost exact) Loose Saturn conjunctions in both sides. ASC opposite Saturn (almost exact) I guess the aspect's reputation does kind of still stand considering despite my constant feeling of repulsion, i still stayed in his orbit and continued to TRY and sleep with him lol.
