me and my partner are both libras, with venus in leo (me) and venus in scorpio (he), so what do you think about that aspect? Here is our synastry card, if in that way you get better insight http://i1057.photobucket.com/albums/t400/milone88/s_zpsd2990f33.gif IP: Logged |

Horrible!!! I have this aspect natally... It means destroy that you love.------------------ "If a man does not work passionately - even furiously - at being the best in the world at what he does, he fails his talent, his destiny, and his God." IP: Logged |

^ You can't have Venus square Venus natally, your interpretation was a tad dramatic also. This aspect means you will turned off by the other persons aesthetic. I met a girl over the summer, we became quick friends. I was grossed out by her aesthetic at first, I thought it didn't suit her at all. I got over it though. It's who she is. IP: Logged |

there are many other aspects far worse than this one. look at the whole chart and as long as there are other aspects in the synastry that are strong it shouldn't be a major issue, at least initially. venus signs square just mean that you both value different things and have a different way of expressing affection and how you want affection expressed to you. the scorpio is likely to be much more introverted and one-on-one, and the leo more interested in large, grand displays of affection. it can eventually mean that you don't "get" how the other person wants to receive love and maybe the gifts you give don't resonate w/them, or your hobbies are quite dissimilar. i think moons or mars square if far worse, this is manageable.IP: Logged |

i agree!!! totally agree with you!! everything you said makes so much sense! i am in a relationship with someone with a venus incompatible with my venus and we are doing just fine even though i respect her way of expressing her love to me even though it is not that ideal with me i still see it as something beautiful it could be because we have (AMOR CONJUNCT NN DW) who knows...., thaaaank goooddd they don't square. i had that with someone before where our venuse's squared and it was awful the sex was not great at all even though we had DW trine venus mars...still our venus's with my ex was square by 2 degrees...horrible. ------------------ Sun Capricorn, Moon Aries, Libra Rising IP: Logged |

It really depends on synastry and natal charts. I think, it's nice to have any venus/venus contact, than to have none. With the square it's work work work. You need to learn to accept differences, and make effort to learn and try to appreciate what other likes. Also, I think some square signs are more difficult to handle, than others (for example, square between mutable signs would be much easier to handle, imo. They are more flexible and adaptable) Here is a part from Cafe Astrology article: "Your "styles" with regards to expressing love and affection are dissimilar in some very important ways. Your interests, values, your socializing style, the clothes you wear, the way you decorate, and the ways you handle money are markedly different." Now, me and my husband have this aspect. His Saggi Venus is square my Virgo Venus/Asc. When we just started dating, I was a bit confused, why he doesn't give flowers on special days... But then once he just randomly said that he doesn't think giving them is anything special. Other than that, we don't have issues, not that I'm aware of anyway. Why our square works so easily? Both Venuses are in Mutable signs. We are flexible and acceptable. Jupiter is our dominant planet (I have 4 placements, he has 2 and 4 planets in 9th House). Also, my Virgo Venus makes aspect to Jupiter. His Saggi Venus makes aspect to 6th House ruler. Don't be scared of this aspect. Just listen to your partner needs, and make efford. Like any square, it required work, but results are worth it. Good luck!

You share the modal connection, shared modal values. Generally a good aspect to have. ------------------

Ok two questions!1) If two people have this venus sq venus aspect, but they are say both in cardinal signs like aries venus and cancer venus, can that somehow take away some of the hardness of the square? 2) Can eros be a replacement for venus/mars aspects in synastry? E.g. two people have venus sq venus however the man's eros conjuncts the woman's venus and the woman's eros conjuncts the man's mars? how would that play out? IP: Logged |

THIS. Literally. My bf’s best friend and I have this in synastry. I was initially shocked to see his Mars exactly conjunct my Venus in Virgo because I found no attraction to him AT ALL. But then I noticed his Venus in Gemini was square mine. I still think he’s kinda gay (I don’t mean homo, I mean lame) because of the music he listens to, the words he chooses to use, how he dresses, what he finds attractive, his idea of romance, etc. He’s very feminine. But that doesn’t mean I refuse to treat him with respect. It’s just that we have very different tastes.

i have this with one guy - i met him when i was being interviewd for the job, he was one of the interviewers - his behaviour was pretty telling that he likes me (pisces venus) like i could sense it (his venus conjuncts my moon also) but it is shy venus, he gives signs of liking through smile and stuff, while my gemini venus plays dumb, and when i like someone i play smartass around them, or joke around them - never really comfortable with piscean type of subtle and shy loving. Also his style ... i saw him in man tights, my venus in gemini was ''you say whaaaat'' and i was pretty sure he was not feeling my super relaxed leather jacket on a job interview either lol i see he is now dating a pisces girl, she is super fancy, femenine, always put together in floral dresses and stuff - not that i dont rock those looks, but i have my strange moments with rock, hippie and sporty looks that i am sure would not please piscean aesthetic IP: Logged |

Can personally speak to Taurus Scorpio opposition. I found his tactic ands on approach to affection to be incredible, if not a bit too much at times even for me! It was his "earthy" practicality that bugged the crap out of me. But oh my, Taurus Venus works hard to please. It's a beautiful thing that I miss ;)IP: Logged |
