Guys, I'm diving into the converse progressions now. And this fresh new journey seems to be INTERESTING! I've Always had some resistance to dive into it, not only because I had to calculate it manually (those days are gone with my new [free] for-all recommendable astro-software!) but also because I couldn't get any grip on it. Like, what's the physical basis for that (??), u know. But I now get it somehow.
It's an outstanding MIRROR (literally)! Moving the planets forward and backward (from your natal) is in fact an equal phase division, parting ways from the same point (in opposite direction) to meet again during those rides and/or [finally] at the exact same point (astrology is all about phases after all). When we make a composite chart of our forward moving progressed chart and our backward moving progressed chart, what do we get? Yes, our NATAL chart! (globally / retro-planets give different result ofcourse). And then... I looked at the start of a significant relationship. I couldn't trace any noteworthy lunation phase (the 4th harmonic ones we usually see at the-start-of..) and looking at the converse progressions .. a NEW MOON! (pSun/pMoon conjunct by 1 deg!). This translated in my forward moving progresssed chart as a solstice conjunction (of about 4 deg)! HIM, he had his c-p Moon conjunct his natal Sun!
And so globally, conjunctions in THIS chart become solstice conjunctions in THAT chart (which interaspects are also prone to ofcourse). It all being 2 sides of the same coin! How interesting, not? And so all-together, we might trace much more when looking at the converse progressed version also! So there you have it, the essence of a physical basis for progressions, the missing key to a major astrological mystery.... ; http://www.astrococktail.com/progressions.html
A must-read ^ / it opened my eyes somehow. IP: Logged |

Thanks, Mir, for the progressions link. We live in a holographic fractal Universe. Here's another: http://www.khaldea.com/rudhyar/astroarticles/converseprogressions.php IP: Logged |

Yes, totally. About the mirror thing. And also - thank heavens for Planetdance. Turns out I have a Sun-Venus-conjunction in my converse progression. cp Sun 14°22 Scorpio cp Venus 14°32 Scorpio So at 10 minutes applying. hmm.

Oh and funny enough my converse progressed Moon is also in Leo? In fact it just passed the exact point of a waning quarter Moon. Sun 14.22 Scorpio Moon 15.20 Leo Interestingly Mr Sag has a waxing quarter Moon in his forward progressions (the same I had when we first met, even on the same degrees. lol)
his p Sun 3.42 Aqua his p Moon 3.13 Taurus
(too bad they are not aligned with my converse one )

Oh I see my thread wasn't about converse progressions...converse progressions go backward at the same pace that secondary progressions go forward?I did a thread on progressing backwards (called it regressing the chart): http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/232032.html So, astro.com doesn't have a converse progression option that I can find, but it's easy for me to create a converse progression chart since my birthday just passed. Nothing jumps out at me, but my pr moon and c-p moon are both in Virgo. I'll check my c-p chart for when I got married...hmm, I had a Venus-moon opposition squaring my natal ASC-DSC axis and my husband's sun. Well at least it's mathematically interesting. IP: Logged |

Ceri, there are "converse secondary" and "converse quotidian" in PD. Which one should I use?------------------ Anomaling around since 1911. IP: Logged |

Thanks, and you're welcome, Faith. I did a progression chart to 3 Aug 1992, one of a few ideal soulmate birthdates. Uranus was conjunct the Gemini MC, oppose Jupiter conjunct the Sagittarius IC--which matches 4th House Jupiter in our composite! Juno conjunct DESC. Amazed! IP: Logged |

Wow!!!
I yesterday already wondered where u were, like; okay this thread must be doomed to dy within a day otherwise. And haha, there must be a lack in Solar Fire! Yess Planetdance (the free software) is indeed a blessing guys! (recommended). And for sure since we can mix all charts together. The software-maker is on LL also and open to answer your questions, I saw (to generate some trust here ;D )

That is IT! ^ (what we wanna see at the START-OF... something *new* ... ). And this combined even with your Sun/Venus... ! Although unfortunately not connected to his' ;D. But euh.. on the SAME sign and deg when you first met, BIZAR! (and: why NOW? ;D / it almost feels as a weird timeless exchange or something... given your current S/V also)
@Comdoc, thanks! And... what a timing. I already planned to dive into our fractcal Universe (after reading my own link).
@Faith, yes for your 1st question. And faith, it's really worth downloading the program, it's great, free and really easy to use. You won't regret it. The only point you have to go through is a possible "alarm bell" by your virussoftware, but that's false alarm where we all went through (at least Ceri, me and Aunt) and on the site (as you see at the top) it's already mentioned. http://www.jcremers.com/?id=Planetdance
@Aunt, yes I already went a bit into the "quotidian realm", the TRUE progressed angles! (it was nice to find that out as I really had/have my doubts about the generally used so-called 'progressed angles' which in fact, are NOT the ones we should use as they are so much faster in reality. So in quotidian after ONE year your progressed ASC has made an entire cycle and is back at its place, like it truly *IS* (in relation to the speed of ALL).

Sure I did. I played with con-prog with these angles. My chart on Apollo's birthday: same angles as in my relocation chart for his place of birth and residence, tightly conjunct. Moon in Aquarius conjunct DSC and square Mars. Sun conjunct my nNN by 1 minute and trine nMars by 3 minutes. His chart the day I was born: DSC conjunct my nSun (with the time I currently work with it's 2 minutes). Moon conjunct my nIC, 35 minutes. Sun conjunct his nSN, 17 minutes ------------------ Anomaling around since 1911. IP: Logged |

you gave me an idea though, progressing my chart to his birthtime: pASC 11°43 SAgittarius (exact same minute as my pMC today!) conjunct my Neptune-NN on 11 Sag/ 10 Sag, square my Jupiter on 11 Pisces and obviously squares his Mars on 11 Virgo and Jupiter on 10 Virgo. p MC 11 Libra pMoon on 17 Aries conjuncts my Draco Sun
--------------------
but it is actually more impressive regressing his chart to my birthtime. lol his pDESC 11.16 Virgo conjunct his n Mars-Jupiter on 10-11 Virgo and pASC conjunct my n Jupiter on 11 Pisces hjis pMC on 22 Sag conjunct pSun on 21 Sag conjunct pNeptune on 20 Sag and pMoon conjunct pPluto but with 2 degree orb.

Me like! I will keep my eye on these angles. I just realized how fast they move. They could be very useful.Btw, his chart was set on my time of birth, my chart had a random time but with his TOB everything what I said still applies. Btw2, is there even Vertex in PD? I don't see it anywhere. If it's not included, we should probably let the author know that we'd like to have it available. ------------------ Anomaling around since 1911. IP: Logged |

One of my longest relationships started when his progressed Moon was conj my prog Sun...my prog Sun: 10.37 Cap his prog Moon: 9.54 Cap ...about seven years ago I got into conversed progressed and started looking at important dates in my life, which one was when him and I met... when we met his Conversed Moon was conj my natal Sun and my conversed Moon was conj his natal Sun. his natal Sun 10.37 Leo my converse moon 10.10 Leo my natal Sun 19.33 Sag his converse Moon 20.31 Sag I was blown away to see the double whammy with the converse moons PLUS the prog Moon to prog Sun... I'm still blown away about it b/c I have never seen anything like that since then and I have looked at all the important relationship in my life... IP: Logged |
