How would a Chiron-Ascendant square differ from the conjunction? My boyfriend's Chiron squares my Ascendant. The orb is 1 degree.Update: Does anyone know what this aspect means in synastry? I didn't make it clear before, but I want to know what the aspect means. Edit: I hope I haven't made a topic on this subject before. Sometimes I forget what I've done and astrology is complex enough for me to not realize I've already made a topic on something. IP: Logged |

The conjunction is prolly stronger BUT the square could make the anger hidden, which may be worse because what is hidden is bound to come up, at some point. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Check this article out.. http://www.aplaceinspace.net/Pages/JMOuters5.html The deeper your understanding of Chiron ' s depth and complexity, the more you will be able to work with this potent energy A square to the ascendant is energy which is needful of integration. It is demanding attention. ____ http://www.intimatesky.net IP: Logged |

Thanks to everyone that has responded so far. Does anyone have any information on how to interpret Chiron square Ascendant? I'm not sure what it means. quote: Originally posted by Ami Anne: The conjunction is prolly stronger BUT the square could make the anger hidden, which may be worse because what is hidden is bound to come up, at some point.
Anger? What anger? quote: Originally posted by yungang_grotto: Check this article out...http://www.aplaceinspace.net/Pages/JMOuters5.html
That article looks more helpful for natal Chiron, not Chiron in synastry. And integration of what? What is demanding attention?IP: Logged |

You're right, I got confused about what we were dealing with as I came here to post that article, saw your post (having read it earlier) but didn't recall it was synastry.IP: Logged |

Chiron doesn't lose its depth of meaning when it is found in synastry though. It means that whatever the chiron issue is in the one chart is being activated by the other person just being themselves. It is a significant aspect and would require careful understanding of the whole relationship and individuals to really understand. I don't imagine it is an easy one. How are you experiencing it? To be honest, I don't have a clue. That's why I posted this thread. I was hoping to get some ideas on how the aspect might be manifesting. However, his Chiron is in 8th house and I have a Scorpio Ascendant, so maybe the aspect relates to Scorpio in some way. My main issue is maybe not knowing enough about Chiron. I've been trying to learn, but I can't even figure out how Chiron functions in my natal chart. Sometimes I feel wounded and other times I don't. Chiron is kind of difficult to understand for me. It's supposed to represent some kind of wound. Depending on the source, the Chiron wound can heal but in others the wound never heals. Still, the Chiron-Ascendant square aside, I can talk about how I experience the relationship outside of an astrological context. In general, although I won't pretend my relationship is perfect, it has helped me to grow and mature in ways I never imagined would ever happen. Through my relationship, many of my old wounds have healed. For the first time in my life, I feel like I'm in a relationship with someone that wants the relationship to work out as much as I do. That sounds wonderful. The Chiron ascendant connection is one of the more potent possible manifestations of Chiron in synastry and can certainly provoke deep insight, healing and lucidity because you two are unafraid and do not shy away from intense subjects. In fact you are compelled to integrate them into your relating on a regular basis producing a particularly deep and thorough connection. I would think that other factors (do you have Jupiter on the descendant in the composite or Davison by chance?) Would be contributing to the overall effects of this aspect. IP: Logged |

Jupiter isn't on the Descendant in the Davison or the composite. It is the ruler of both charts though. In the Davison, Jupiter makes a sextile with the Ascendant and in the composite it squares the nodes. The 1st-7th axis is full of planets in the composite. The Moon is on the IC and we have a few MC aspects. For aspects from our natal chart, my natal chart makes a few aspects to the composite and my boyfriend's natal chart makes a few aspects to the Davison. My nodes square the MC/IC axis (I assume the angles are supposed to be the same in both charts). Overall, I'd say the aspects from his natal chart to the Davison sound intense, plus we have a Venus-Pluto square in the Davison. Sometimes the relationship is full of conflict, but we are able to work things out without letting it affect the relationship. IP: Logged |
