Is it as bad as they say it is? How about at 5º? One in Gem and one in Virgo?------------------ Virgo Asc & Mars Gemini Sun Libra Moon (conjunct Pluto 0º in 2nd house) Gemini Mercury Cancer Venus IP: Logged |

I don't have any experience with that but I have Mercury Trine Mercury with the Capricorn and that is downright strange. You always do a double-take like you're hearing YOURSELF talk.IP: Logged |

I don't imagine it'd be as bad with a wide orb like that. I have this with my Pisces at a 1 degree orb, and we do have issues getting our points across to each other. What helps us though, is when we rely more on intuition to try to get a feel for what the other person is thinking/saying - we have Psyche and Telephus contacts in our synastry that lend us a hand there! Check to see if you have any aspects that help alleviate this square. SunshineIP: Logged |

I have this with nearly all my friends and boyfriends. Its not bad depending ...gemini and virgo are both ruled by mercury its not bad i dont think especially because gemini loves mental stimulation and virgo loves being analytical and observes everything they can make a good team. Though everyone i know all have their mercury squared mine their mercury all fall in my first house. ------------------ ASC: Virgo Sun: Cancer Moon: Gemini Mars: Cancer Mercury: Cancer Venus: Leo IP: Logged |

Tell you what I have Mercury Trine Mercury with someone and I feel like even if we spoke the same language fluently (we don't) it wouldn't help matters. We see the world a completely different way. Her Mercury is exactly conjunct my Pluto. It looks better on paper. My son (#2) also has Mercury at the same degree, i.e conjunct my Pluto and Trine my Mercury, but this works differently. I feel like we are deeply in tune. (But then, given he inherited a large chunk of my DNA the odds of this happening are reasonable.) The wider picture is that the first person has has Mercury Conjunct Neptune and I have Mercury Conjunct Saturn. It confuses the whole thing. Naughty Neptune. The whole charts together show strain. We just aren't compatible. It's not like we don't like each other, we are just like aliens on each other's planets. IP: Logged |

I have this aspect in synastry with someone. Along with Mars square Mercury. I don't think things will work out due to having these aspects I hate it because I like the person. Like why do I have to have these aspects in synastry with someone I actually like it really sucks.IP: Logged |

I think you should go for it CoV. I have seen a few couples online that have the Mars/Mercury or Mercury/Mercury conflicting in synastry and they get along very well. Of course, no one knows what goes on behind the scenes, but there are plenty of relationships that do not last long and most of them don’t have these aspects. Just look at the posts on here for example. If there’s a connection between the two of you, and you can get the relationship off the ground to begin with, I think it’s worth a shot. IP: Logged |

It's odd because I actually enjoy talking to them. But my Venus is compatible with their Mercury. I just love the sound of their voice it's so relaxing. I would call them just to hear their voice. I guess maybe this helps with the hard Mercury aspects. IP: Logged |

Yes, nice aspects with benefic planets really help. IP: Logged |

I find it very wearing. In the end it was just too hard to talk to one another because it went nowhere. But as always, depends on the rest.I've also had the Venus trine Mercury, and with the Mercuries both square, and it is strange/odd. I found myself lulled by their voice and enjoying (Venus). But, when it came down to brass tacks, it would be hard to live with. Think it depends what lifestyle you have with one another - living together? Meeting up once a week? The exposure is relevant because Mercury can really get into the nervous system. It's also relevant to assess how important Mercury and logic is to the peoples. I don't think it would as bad for water/earth signs that are more intuitive and can exist for longer periods with non-verbal communication. But I suspect here, Gemini will grow bored of Virgo's minimalist aesthetic. Virgo will tire of Gemini's elaborate chatter. Look at what houses each are ruled by Mercury, to see how far down the rabbit hole the challenge goes. If there are odds there too, it reduces avenues more for understanding one another. Depends on the whole chart though

I know fire and water don't mix lol. But with this person I'm always aware of what I say and how I say it. I only really try with people I care about. But when I'm ****** off I can really say things that hurt people's feelings. With positive Sun/Mercury in synastry and composite that indicates intellectual compatible? IP: Logged |
