GWRS, do you have any comments to make additionally about:Adversary Competition A softening of Mars (as my above reference) Aggression I guess this represents some of the range which depends on other aspects. Anything else did I miss? IP: Logged |

House person will require physical and emotional and even career support from the mars person, and perhaps vice versa. The aggression level overall less than mars in the 1st, but not less attracted. IP: Logged |

quote:
Synastry partnerships with Mars in the 7th House are exceedingly active and energetically prosperous ... Mutual antagonism is almost certain to result in disagreements on all levels, even physical ones ... A Mars in the Seventh House synastry frequently results in classic middle-school animosity with punches thrown now and then ... ... any attempts to exert pressure on the other party will be met with force ... Therefore, Mars in the Seventh House synastry is associated with intense competitiveness in all dealings, even in a favorable scenario ...
An over-statement. One single placement in an overlay is not the basis for such statements. The author did give a minimal amount of reasonable qualifiers, but not enough to alter the 'scary' interpretation based on those other qualifying factors. My wife's Mars is not only in my 7th house, but opposite my Asc and Pluto. Yet, none of the quoted statements are true about our relationship. Every synastry is unique and cannot be characterized by a single overlay placement — one of the most over-rated synastry factors with the most over-specific interpretations. Interpretive texts like the one quoted are pretty much useless. They say nothing reliable about a specific person or relationship. They are more about promoting the idea that the author has some kind of astrological knowledge worthy of your money than they are about passing on any reliable, useful, or enlightening information. ------------------ > Soul Stars Astrology Gemstone Readings for energy balance and healing We were born for these times. Kannon McAfee,I have an associate whose Mars is in my (late) 7H. There is quite a bit of latent competition for sure. I don't see him often so it hasn't chanced to express fully and why I mention latent. Other factors however (as you mention): this Mars of his makes no aspects to my personal planets, just a Pluto TRINE which he also has in his chart. I have observed his surprise and perhaps frustration with his compulsive teasing and competitiveness with me. I believe the frustration comes from nowhere to channel the Mars force from no other aspects. Obviously I have the upper hand with astrology insight, so I am able to control compulsion to spark back with him, and so I appear more composed. But yes, it definitely simmers with me also. I suspect if his Mars energy had somewhere personal to go with more aspects 1) the frustration would be reduced and 2) the general Mars energy would be spread more thinly and be less raw and focused on general Mars qualities (competitiveness and etc ) that are clear and exposed in my 7H. So yes your point of course stands. This is my example to contribute. IP: Logged |
