Why do you think this is puzzling? If it is your venus that is being aspected, no wonder you think he is attractive, even though in reality he is no greek god :-) I remember that with a former colleague of mine my venus was heavily aspected by his planets and I just really liked him and thought he was very attractive even though I knew 'rationally' he wasnt. In fact three of my female friends once got to meet him and they found him repulsive. So I think if one's venus receives many strong aspects from the other person, they will somehow just fit your inner paradigm of what you consider beautiful. Venus adds that magic stardust, in a similar but more realistic and 'healthy' way than neptuen does. Because you are not in denial, your head knows that they are not perfect, but that's just how they look to you.,..:-)

blimey, no greek god at all! surely it blinds u but in more ways than just physical coz i found in him the most endearing traits and overlooked the bad ones...hmmmmmmmm... yet so many people said we just didnt fit. Odd. U know they said he just had absolutely NOTHING to do with me.

Venus isn't just about looks though, it's about charm and grace and yes seduction...
Venus is in Virgo in my chart and I just LLLOOVVEE the Virgo look and sensuality. So If I met a Virgo with Venus in Libra would that be like Bingo!!!
What about opposites atrract and that Venus needs a mirror(to look at, so vain)
I'm with a Pisces man the opposite to my Venus Virgo but it is my chart ruler his mars is also opposing my Venus from Pisces

back to the topic, venus in synastry works as per the archetype that venus embodies in our psyche, which can be love for someone, lust for someone else, after all what do u expect from a LADY who was created out of a severed Penis

personally i stoppes looking at venus for love after i discovered Valentine. a lot of soulmate comparisions i have made have BOTH Venus and Valentine, hek i m yet to find one where Valetine does NOT figure, even real life soulmates not celebs.Venus added to it, beautifies it a little i think.

I'm also confused by why Uranus-Venus = oral sex. Wouldn't that be Mercury? Or is it b/c Uranus = higher mind; mind = head...
I suspect the author is slightly prudish, associates Uranus with the unconventional, and oral is as wild as she goes. I would hope that every relationship included that, Uranus or no.

As far as my personal experience with Venus aspects in synastry, my man and I have mutual Sun-Venus trines. I had the same with an ex, another Taurus Sun/Aries Venus (I'm Sag Sun/Cap Venus). I find it so difficult to isolate aspects and how they manifest, especially in synastry. I've read that this aspect gives a true love kind of feeling, loving the other for who he is, and that it also makes you like the person. So friends and lovers. That's true with my SO, but my feelings for my Taurus ex weren't nearly as deep as for my SO. I did like him a lot though and was very sexually attracted to him from the start and even after we broke up.

Yeah mercury-mars contact for oral. Cunnlingius (sp?) is called that for a reason lingua - tongue (ruled by gem) + cunni (assumed with was cunning - negative quality of mars). Maybe mars in gem

lara u might find that venus contacts with uranus mae for a lot of unpredictability as in wanting new and different experiences all the time, but that is more the case with mars in the case of men as mars represents sexuality in them

i suppose maybe he values different and unusual people...just a guess!
